The teachers are amazing. The principal, assistant principal and a few others are a serious let down. My son has had nothing but trauma because of them for the last 2 1/2-3yrs. We reported issues and everytime they were pushed under the rug or twisted into "it's my sons fault". I'm not saying my son does no wrong, but he is not ALWAYS at fault! I have so much documented incidents that will soon be handed over to the superintendent to see what action will be done. My son is almost done at ridgeview, thank God, but hopefully something will be done to prevent future kids from having to be exposed to the trauma my son experienced! If it wasn't for the amazing teachers my son has been lucky to have, I would have pulled him a long time ago. Without to much detail, my son had to be placed into therapy because of the bullying by other students and worst of all the bullying done by the principal towards my son. The principal has specifically called my son a liar, my son's therapist would disagree, the nurses have refused to see my son and forced him to sit at school with a 103 fever for over 5 hrs. The school councilor (she is retired now) told my son who was experiencing suicidal thoughts to ask his father (army veteran) how weapons work! Absolutely disgusting behavior from the people that are supposed to lead this school. We love LPS, but extremely let down by Ridgeview. My son's experiences are too many to list on this review, but definitely would not recommend Ridgeview to any family until something is done to change the principals despicable behavior.

I absolutely love this school. The entire staff has always been so helpful. The principal has always been smiling and in a good mood in the 6 years my kids have attended. They have never gotten a teacher they didn't like, and all teachers went to incredible lengths to prevent bullying in their classrooms. I love the double doors to access the school and I know mh kids are safe

Hate to leave a 1 star review but something needs to balance out all the 5 stars. This school has problems with treating families and students differently based on what neighborhood they live in. Kids who are from "lesser" neighborhoods are assumed to be the problem whenever there's a question of who the problem is, and it's between a lower or higher income student. Some faculty might do this without being aware that they're doing it, but they do it. I saw a situation here where a little girl (kinder) was being bullied at an event during school hours. She was being pushed down in the dirt and covered with leaves. Many faculty members saw this, and they did nothing. The girl obviously wasn't from a well-to-do family, and they let her suffer. When I stepped in to help her, they looked at me as if I had the plague. There are some very good people at this school, but there are some who seem to care more about social standing with the right parents and families, than they care about doing the right thing. The faculty here who are good, are amazing. The ones who are caught up in their own personal image and social prestige are a serious problem. Unfortunately the worst faculty offenders talk a great game about doing the right thing, but when it comes to actually treating students fairly in tough situations, they don't.

I have had nothing but positive experiences in the Ridgeview school district. They have given help when it was needed when my children were struggling in a subject. The faculty are extremely helpful and care about the students.

My child went to Lewis and Clark , then boundary changes moved her into Ridgeview. I must say I was'nt thrilled about the boundary change, but was truly satisfied with the 5th grade teacher she had. The staff was very welcoming and supportive of students excellent educational exsperience. My child was encouraged to excell into many programs of her interest. Thank you all at Ridgeview.
