We love Veterans!! My child is going into the 3rd grade and has excelled every year because of the strong leadership of this school.

I have two kids at this school. We love it! Recently, the county redrew the lines and kids from another school became a part of our VPE family. This is why you will see a disparity in the test scores. However, this is quickly changing as the school works to help those students and their younger siblings have been a part of VPE from the beginning.

This school has been a great experience for my children. I have two children that went to this school. They had great friends and awesome learning experiences from all their teachers. One thing that could be better is the increase of diversity. That could be one thing they fix in the future, but overall our experience at VPE has been amazing.

One word: EXCELLENT...in every level. From dedicated teachers, to parents involved in everything, to a great staff of sweet and polite people. Zero tolerance for bulling and best, it feels like FAMILY!

I have 2 children that attended Veteran's Park and both loved the experience and have grown incredibly. Parental involvement is off the charts!

If I could give a split review, I would. For the positives...Parent involvement is fantastic (and largely what makes this school stand out); The math program is good (would give it 3.5-4 stars); The quality of the teachers, in my experience, is quite good. For the negatives...Class sizes are larger than average (which makes the high parental involvement necessary); The reading program needs work -- it is average, at best (both of my children read at above their grade levels, according to VP school but both seem to be behind some of their counterparts (i.e., friends) at other schools, which makes me doubt that VP's standards are as high as other schools); Along the same lines, Junie B. Jones is a fun & enjoyable book for children to read but I have serious issues with my child 'learning' to read from a book like this (bad spelling & grammar).
