I have so much gratitude to Sphinx just for existing. Other options for high school in the town were just not going to meet my son's needs and would probably have been needlessly stressful. My child knows that as a student there, he was cherished for who he is and understood as not just a student but also a human being. He has always truly enjoyed his interactions with every teacher and administrator, and has bonded with them very well. He hopes to remain in contact with them in the future. He had some social struggles earlier in his time at Sphinx, but despite the issues in his peer relationships, he consistently enjoyed his teachers and courses. He also learned valuable lessons about peer relationships and about himself, and was supported in this process by the faculty and staff, who helped him through some rough days with so much kindness. Thanks to the overall spirit of Sphinx, his potential has been nurtured throughout his time here, and I know his future will be much brighter for having been a Sphinx student. The academics aspect is excellent and the school is the perfect size for flexibility and accommodation of the students' individual needs. The staff and faculty are responsive and gentle, yet also firm in inculcating discipline and independence in the students.

My son is a freshman at Sphinx Academy. He is thriving! He loves his school, teachers and his friends. He is so engaged in his coursework and has a high level of confidence and enthusiasm that is very new for him. Finding Sphinx Academy has been a blessing for our son.The coursework is challenging and the teachers do an amazing job of assessing and teaching to my son's unique learning style and learning needs.They understand executive functions and prescriptive teaching. Incorporating the teaching and reinforcement of executive functions is critical to overall development. As a retired educator; this is the first time that I have observed a school who understands this.My son is in a school environment where he is respected and valued. He feels safe because he knows that the staff place equal importance on his mental and emotional health, along with his academic achievements. Teachers and administration are always available to my son and to me.

Sphinx is an amazing micro-school and a wonderful option for bright students who learn differently or need a smaller environment. My daughter's anxiety has decreased tremendously! The educators are invested in every individual student and cater their classes accordingly. Students also build important skills like time management, goal setting, and how to study. The hands-on activities and field trips add to the overall experience!

Sphinx Academy has provided an amazing experience for our son. The staff is wonderful and works closely with the students, so they feel confident and successful in their learning. I would recommend Sphinx Academy to anyone!

you can learn what you what everyone is friendly and someone always has your back the teacher is nice and when I am sad someone is there to make me feel better

We have almost completed a full school year at Sphinx Academy. The overall quality of the education that Sphinx Academy teachers provide is exceptional. This is not your typical school. Before enrolling at Sphinx our son wasn’t interested in school and was struggling with executive functioning skills. Over the last 9 months, his teachers have challenged him to excel and increased his desire to learn new concepts. Sphinx has increased his interest in learning and more importantly helped him understand how to learn new information.

This year, I have witnessed a complete transformation of my daughter. She arrived at The Sphinx Academy with little confidence in her ability to learn. In just a few months, she developed a love of learning and is excited about her academic future!

At Sphinx Academy, I learned the importance of determination, hard work, and community. In a school where the education was based on the individual, I was given a level of independence that allowed me to create my own path throughout my four years of high school. With this independence, I was able to grow and develop my own passions and interests rather than having to adhere to the same guidelines as my fellow students. I was given flexibility in what classes I could take and how I wanted to take them, which allowed me to focus more on learning instead of just completing assignments before their deadlines. Along with this flexible curriculum, Sphinx Academy provided me with a community in which I could be myself. It was a safe space, a place where I did not have to worry about being judged. I was able to build deep, personal connections with the other students and the teachers. At Sphinx, we were a strong community, with a bond mirroring that of a family. The friendships I made are ones that I cherish. Sphinx taught me many things that I can go on to use in college and in life. I am eternally grateful for what this school has done for me, and I know that I will always have a home at Sphinx Academy.

Sphinx has been profoundly impactful on my son’s high school education. He thrives on the individual attention and responds exceedingly well to the style of teaching support and encouragement he gets from his learning coach and the other teachers. His ACT score was beyond our expectations when he took it as a baseline his sophomore year. Sphinx provides an opportunity for him to see his own ability and build the confidence needed to move into the world beyond high school.

This fine establishment is one of the most sugoi (or amazing) school on the little green-blue space rock floating in what we highly evolved apes call the milky way. Now some people might be inclined to say some harsh things about the students at the school, however I assure you that this is only due to their own silly actions.

I have had an extremely great experience with this school. I do not know the type of person I would be without Sphinx Academy. The community in this school is one of the better ones, compared to my last schools. In my last schools I never fit in and I didn't have many friends. This school has brought me lots of friends and a comfortable relationship with my teachers. I love my teachers so much, I am able to learn and grow effectively in a safe environment because of them. My peers are unlike any other group of peers I have been in, and I feel so supported here.

This school taught me so much. I never thought that school was a place I'd genuinely enjoy coming to, or that I would learn anything more than academics, until I came here. The teachers have helped me in so many ways (again, not just academically) and I feel much more prepared for life inside and out of school after coming here. The teachers care about students as people, and they're always there to help students with both school-related and personal problems. The mindset and work ethic is outstanding and students are motivated to do work. Each student can have a plan that fits their unique life and schedule, and the flexibility creates a low-stress environment and happier, more engaged students.
