    Great school my kids love it. Big improvement from where they were.

    SMS has an amazing, unified leadership team that is continually striving for improvement academically and behaviorally. They are drawing some of the best teachers in the district because of the culture at SMS that they foster. Much time is devoted to figuring out how to reach EVERY student front the gifted and talented student to the special ed student and every student in between. Keep your eye on Southern...they are headed to being the best school in Fayette County.

    The is a generally low end school with apathetic teachers, and clueless leadership. Teachers mostly are older and burned out. Ive had two children here and thankfully leaving this next year. Have been through 3 principals in 5 yrs. Constantly yearly very low State standards test scores. Avoid at all costs.
