I have a special needs child that attends here. Mrs. Slugantz is by far one of the best teachers she has ever had. She takes the time to get to know her students interest, teaches them in the best way she knows how, and is extremely great at communicating with the parents. We will miss her very much

Our family loves Cassidy. All the staff continue to go above & beyond for our son. The teachers communicate daily on our child's goal & performance. Teachers are attentive to his IEP & have more than accommodated us with his schedule. We plan to stay in the district for our son to stay at Cassidy for the duration of his elementary years.

Overall I rate this school a 9 out of 10, it is not perfect, but its very close. I'm just impossible to please.

Excellent teachers and professionals an excellent facilities. These are just some of the things that make Cassidy an excellent school. Our daughter loves all classes and teachers.

Front office staff lack the ability to communicate proactively. Also very concerning when the principal herself will not make Right and Wrong, which was made by her staff. Even suggesting that her staff couldn't have possibly made the HUGE mistake I was concerned about, indirectly called me a liar. First impressions are everything and the lack of empathy or desire to go above and beyond for a new family, was very telling. I'm extremely dissapointed that my daughter will be here this year, as I can't imagine what type of characteristics they teach the children through their own actions.I can't comment yet on the educational material side, but I can say that the admin staff and the principal really don't care about being proactive in communicating to new families, or corrective in their mistakes. i am extremely dissapointed and hopefully we have other arrangements made, otherwise, their Mistake has left a huge damper on my family for this year.

Exceptional school! Parental involvement has been key to strong scores and the PTA and volunteerism by parents supports success at Cassidy. The district has been the main drag on Cassidy's performance by overloading the school student population and engineering asymmetrical non-neighborhood school boundaries which adds uninvested families and has hurt test scores.

Cassidy is an excellent school. The teachers care deeply and there is an over-abundance of parental involvement. Even as a working parent, there are many opportunities to be as involved as you wish. My daughter loves going to school and the focus is on children loving to learn. It is a wonderful neighborhood school.

There is a million Great things I can say about Cassidy Elementary. The front staff, while they might not remember your name they know what Child you belong to, which amazes me. They are big on parent involvement and encourage you to come to their school for lunch or plays or just to help out. I had two nieces (until I got my sister to switch schools) that went to another school in Lexington, that you had to give 24 hours notices just to go to lunch with them. Which made me a little wary. Cassidy always has an open door policy and I have never been made to feel that my questions or concerns weren't important to them. I know from experience that if a child is struggling they do everything that they can to bring them up to speed, my two nieces that came from a title one school, just started this year and they have a lot of teachers helping them. Without them feeling like they are being singled out. I feel very lucky to live in the Cassidy school district so that my kids can go there.
