So far I could not ask for a better school for my special needs children if you have a child with special needs and an IEP McMahon is the school for you I know the test scores are low but you have to take into account that they have more special needs children than all the other Lewiston elementary schools so by logic their scores will be lower cause unfortunately most children in McMahon don’t make it there before they are swept under the rug by other schools for a few years my oldest is one of those children I have been fighting for daytreatment since kindergarten he’s in the 4th grade and has just started at McMahon this year as for my youngest son he was luckily accepted at pine tree society early learning center and had an IEP thru CDS so he went straight to McMahon from pre K but he was in pre K for 2 years

Every other school that my son has been to in this district could not "handle" his differences and had all but given up on him. One school actually did give up on him. But, McMahon has helped him thrive and the staff here have found creative ways to help him deal with his anger and inability to maintain focus. He has done so well since going here and I couldn't praise the staff here enough for their excellent work

McMahon is a great school to work at. I got an education here and I love teaching children at this school.
