This school is a decent school for my children.

All experiences have been very positive with teachers and staff. It is an academically challenging environment and expectations from kindergarten and up are much higher than Fort Wayne Community and on par with the private schools in the area.

In the 2017 - 2018 school year, the school started a VEX competitive robotics club and made it all the way to worlds. This year they have three teams that took first, second and fourth in their divisions and third in the state. They are again going to worlds. Having a local school with this kind of STEM oriented education will better prepare the kids for what they will need in the future. The school board invested in a large technology room. I hope Leo Elementary keeps this going, perhaps even incorporating more of the STEM skills they are learning with robotics, etc. in the classrooms. Cedarville has kids programming as young as first grade and robotics for second and third that feed into Leo Elementary. It would be nice if the Leo schools did this through high school -- what an opportunity for the kids!

School is a little overrated . My kids are doing well academically here except for last year when one of my childs teacher was chaotic, absent minded and out for surgery most of the year which caused confusion in all aspects. Luckily we heard she retired but not soon enough for my child's grade to suffer because of her lack of grading papers.Unfortanely , Principal Diehl has a chip on his shoulder. Many Say he does not acknowledge parents or even new parents touring the school. The school lunch room is too small and it takes the kids 15 min of their lunch time to get their food so they are always rushed-Principal told us its not his problem.( Classy Response)

We recently moved to Leo and we couldn't be happier that our daughter is attending Leo Elementary. The staff has been wonderful in welcoming our daughter and getting her over her fear of being the new girl. This year Leo has a new principal and we are very happy with her professionalism and also the energy she brings to the school. The teachers have been very caring and have supported and encouraged our daughter to keep up with her grades and to always do her best. The school also works on building character strength and every time I volunteer at the school I am so impressed with the manners of the students. She is making many new friends and is very happy with our decision to move her to Leo.
