This school is terrible, please don’t attend it if you’re looking for a good place for your child to learn. The only thing they’ll learn is some math and violence. Almost 80% of the students are thugs and constantly get into secret fights or outside of school fights SOMETIMES EVEN IN SCHOOL that they get away with. The school does a terrible job at keeping it maintained, fights happen about once a week even if you don’t see em. The lunch is also atrocious. The menus lie they are never true. Take your child to a different school for yours and their sake.

Teachers Don't Try to Help Students. They Turn it Around on Parents and Tell Parents" My Self " to Get a Tutor for Student in Other Words Seek Help Elsewhere. They Expect for All Students to Be Self Taught in Order for Them to Get Credit for a Job They Never Intended on Doing So. One Teacher Claim to Be a Sylvan Tutor Before She Got The Job at LMS as a Teacher But Yet Couldn't Help My Daughter Comprehend What She Would Read. That's Where I've Seen That My Niece and Most of The Students in That School Need Help With....Comprehension. Oh! and Forget About Getting or Having A Metting With Both The Teacher Which Students Have Dificulty Learning With and Counseler The Counseler Will Always Make An Excuse for The Teacher. Everytime I Would Bring Up a Good Reason to Why My Daughter Wasn't Learning in Her"The Teacher" Class Room But Doing Great In The Rest of Her"My Daughter" Classes The Counseler Would Speak Up for The Teacher......SMH! My daughter Whent From A 4.0 to a 3.2 in a Matter of a Year at That School.

My daughter attends LMS although we live in the city of Lawndale. I was skeptical in having my daughter attend LMS due to the school rating. However, due to my long work commute and my parents living around the corner from school, it was the best fit for my family in case of an emergency. My daughter is now a 7th grader and is constantly challenged in class and with homework assignments. She strives to maintain a high GPA. We both have the PowerSchool app on our cell phones installed and the moment a homework assignment is graded and GPA is dropped, we are both alerted which keeps her "on top of her game." She absolutely enjoys the LEAP program and always has positive things to say about the teachers and classmates overall. The AVID program is teaching her a great deal as well. I am very involved in my daughter's education and keep the lines of communication open with her teachers. LMS is not a bad school. Unfortunately, it's the city that gives the school a bad name. By the way, I graduated from LMS...class of 1994. I believe LMS has come a long way and is preparing students for a bright future, however it cannot be done without parent involvement.

Lennox middle school... was a time of happy, hardly any let downs and well everyone practically got along. This school is enriched with electives such as art, photography, dance, computers, and my personal favorite MUSIC. The music teacher, Mr. Harwell, can teach almost a life time of music lessons into a few months or weeks even... his humor makes the mood in the class easy and fun to learn and well rock out. Overall the teachers are easy going and help students learn easily. The school's student council always keeps the students motivated and entertained throughout the school year and helps make middle school unforgettable.

My son goes to this school, I live in Riverside and he resides in Lennox w/my mom. I must add that despite the overall school grading my son is learning a great deal. He has always been an overachiever and being in this school has not affected him in a negative way. On the contrary, his Honors Algebra teacher gives them homework that is challenging. I speak to him daily and request info. on his hw, this is how I know. It is truly the parents that make a difference not the area, in addition the student's WILL to get the things done.
