I have had an excellent experience with this school for my children. Growing up I always heard bad things about it and it carries a stigma for being a low-income school but it tests better and rates better than most others in the area. The teachers are well-trained and compassionate. They offer free breakfast and lunch to all students among many other programs offered to help children in their community. Hancock teaches my gifted child in a challenging, encouraging manner. I can't say enough great things about them.

This school is great. I have had 2 kids go through it, and another that is starting here next school year. I have never had a problem, we love it!

My son has been at this school so far from grade 1st through 4th. The staff works hard and the classrooms are clean and well organized. All the buildings are newer. Some are less than 5 years old. They have an EXCELLENT choice of summer school classes which include enrichment topics, not just remedial. I always get a response from staff within 2 hours during weekdays.

There are plenty of extra curricular activities for the kids to do. It is a fun and friendly environment.

Not sure. My granddaughter is being bullied in 2nd grade at this school and all the teacher said was "ignore her" ; that's not good enough answer to an 8 year old. THe bully tries every day to hurt or get my granddaughter in trouble. What's with this????? This has to stop.
