With Leeds schools being an independent school system gives the school board more opportunities to bring in more resources

Leeds High School has exceptional educational and extracurricular programs. In the past year they have added AP courses as well as dual enrollment for college credit. The school is maintained immaculately. The band, theater, and visual arts programs are all award-winning. The school offers many Sports and clubs to fit students interests.

I currently go to LHS and it is the best school all around in the Birmingham area if you ask me. The education is really valued and lack of discipline is not tolerated whatsoever. The teachers really try to push each student to excell in their best subject and work hardto improve their worst. We get lots of ACT training and you can tell the facility is here for you. I love it. I have been in the school system my whole life and since the newer schools and change of teachers oyou could ask for a better place to raise your.child. I especially love the diversity of people
