Park Elementary is doing harm to children. They are robbing them of the skills they need to move forward in school. The teachers and administrators blame the students and the parents for poor test scores. They take no accountability for the failure in the district(much failure) and look for blame placement more than improvement. The school needs a leader that is not complacent and desires a great education for all children. I attend this school in the 80's...quality has bottomed out since then. Enrollment is decreasing as a direct result to poor test scores and horrific behavior which all starts with the staff. Parents try to be involved but are pushed away by the staff.

Poor leadership. This school is all about the teachers. The focus is not on the students. Student safety is a concern. An IEP is very hard to get implemented even with a diagnosis of autism. 504 accommodation is impossible to get implemented. Parents are not welcomed at this school.

Another parent has already said most of what I would say. The Principal is very lax in discipline. My child was tripped going down the stairs by a fellow student, a staff member witnessed, but nothing was ever done. By the time my child told me what happened I called the school, when the Principal found out who the other student was, he simply replied, well that child no longer goes here as if that settled the whole thing. Three years my child went to this school and they were the worse years of her life. I had to pull her out because the bullying was so out of control and the staff seemed to do nothing about it.
