When I went to this school, counselor wasn’t helpful. She made me feel worse than I already had felt. Teachers didn’t help out much & put you on the spot. When students bully one another, teachers didn’t report. Davis High is better.

Layton High School has its pros and cons. On the downside, the parking situation is quite frustrating. They reduced the parking space to accommodate building expansions, which has led to many students having to park on the road. This often results in students being late for class. The hallways are also quite small and can get very crowded between classes, making it difficult to get to your next class on time.However, the school's safety measures are decent, providing a relatively secure environment for students. The majority of the teachers and counselors are good, offering valuable support and guidance to students. The cafeteria food is okay; it’s not the best, but it's manageable.There are a lot of activities to do there, so there is usually an activity for you. The community is above average, and the technology is above average as well.

I am a new student to lhs, and to be honest, it sucks. I am a student who excels in science, and wanted new things to learn, but its all very repetitive and there is little to no effort made to make sure students learn new things. and the choir program is...weak. I'm sorry to say, but its overall pathetic. I've held an active role in choir for basically my whole school career, and its sad to say my elementary choir teacher (who didn't even study music) was far better than the teacher here. there is no discipline, or any challenges for us. as well as the entire fine arts category of classes is barely even there. I took the dance class as well, and for a person who never really enjoyed dance, Nybo made it fun and interesting. I have yet to try the theatre program, but hopefully it doesn't disappoint as much as the other classes.

Layton High has excellent teachers and staff. Layton is way better than Davis. If you send your kids to Davis, they will become elitist snobby brats. Whereas, if your kids go to Layton, they will be very chill, while still being driven and productive members of society.

I have two teens that attend LHS. The counseling/college prep staff has been good. The class selection is okay, and the teachers seem to have a genuine, positive connection with the students. School spirit is high. I enjoy diversity (having lived all over the US), but there is little diversity here. However, that is changing, and my kids have friends of many different backgroungs. Lastly, the office staff can be hard to work with, and not very friendly, but not so with the attendance staff.
