I went here for my 4th grade year for the 2008-2009 school year. The worst thing about this school was probably the kids who went here. If things are the same as they were today when I went there, unless you started going there in kindergarten making friends is impossible because most of the kids there knew each other since kindergarten. So I don’t suggest this school. Unless your kid is starting their first day of kindergarten

We had two years of teachers who could not grasp that children don't come out of cookie cutters and chose to move our son to a different school district. Good luck to you if you have a child that learns in a different way than "normal," or if you don't accept the status quo as good enough.

MY GREAT GRANDAUGHTER goes to school there and when she comes to visit she tells us how happy she is with the teachers

Lawtey Community school is just that - A "COMMUNITY" school! Staff, parents, and kids are one big family. Wouldn't want to be anywhere else! :)

I went to Lawtey K-6th and enjoyed it! Given the limited options in this area, Lawtey is definitely the best. Classes are relatively small and most of the teachers are phenomenal. Also an interesting fact, when I moved up to the local high school (I was homeschooled 7th and 8th) I found that though 'Lawtey kids' comprised less than 10% of the student body, we comprised nearly 50% of the honors classes... Just sayin'!
