This school has a problem with bullies and I had to pull my child out of the school to drive farther away to a different school. My child had good grades before attending here.

Carver is a family. My wife and I had two two kids that attended Carver. Their experiences epitomize the Carver way of handling business. They were treated well and the curriculum was rigorous and challenging. Our kids are now college graduates that are successful in their chosen career paths. The Carver educational experience paved the way for their current success. They often receive messages via social media from former teachers who are "just touching base", encouraging them to stay the course. The current administration is community friendly and makes our community aware of events that happen at the school. Wheather it is a football game or a BINGO for Books Family Nite event, they share their successes with all stakeholders. We would be proud to have our future grandkids attend this wonderful school. The future is bright at Carver Middle School. We are thankful that they helped teach our kids to soar above and beyond....

Carver Middle School is known by our small community of Laurel Hill to be a cess pool of bullies. I know of 20 people personally who have had to pull their children out of the school because they were bullied so badly the parents feared for their safety, emotional development and academics. The state has a bullying law and the school itself has a section on harassment; 'no tolerance' but it does no good if the teachers and administrators turn a deaf ear and blind eye to it. I am an advocate against bullying and will continue to petition against this behavior of 'not getting involved' where our children are at risk. Laurel Hill Citizen and Parent

As we all know, middle school is a place for kids to grow and find themselves, and that is exactly what Carver Middle School's staff, coaches, and supporters help students do. As a former student looking back on my experience at Carver, I am extremely appreciative for the lessons I learned and the support group I build; there are even some teachers and coaches I that I still ask for advice as a college student. I was a straight A student-athlete at Carver, playing four sports, and my experiences there helped prepare me for high school and beyond. I feel strongly about what Carver has to offer and the way the school is ran and would recommend all parents to make it a priority that their children attend middle school there. -Former Student.
