They don’t care about bullying and it’s so freaking crowded here.

This school is alright as long as you have nice teachers and classes with your friends.

The school environment is clean and tidy, and the teachers are very patient. I like studying here very much.

(Made by a student at Sig Rogich) So I have just finished the first week of school at, "Sig Rogich Middle School." On the 3rd day of school there was an incident in the physical education locker room where kids were pulling down eachothers pants & underwear exposing their private parts. However, the administration did absolutely nothing. Also on that same day (THE 3RD DAY OF SCHOOL) we already had been assigned two projects. For me they took around 3 hours (each) to complete. However, one thing I like about this school is the food. The food is pretty good compared to most other schools I have been to. There is actually food that the school makes, instead of the horrible mystery meat hamburgers. I just think this school needs to start caring more about their students. I read an article on this school and they were saying that there have been many suicides and attempted suicides because of overload of homework, bullying, etc. For me school isn't very fun because all we do is sit in their uncomfortable seats. After getting up when class is over my back ends up hurting because of how hard the seats are. Then there is the passing period, we only get 4 minutes to get to our next class, it doesn't seem bad but there is also a lot of traffic in the hallways, and most of my classes are extremely far apart. Also there are one way hallways, so if you accidentally walk past your class or your locker you have to go ALL THE WAY back around. Well this is my opinion on the current state of Sig Rogich, parents beware.

Administration that bullies parents and children alike.

I have had 4 children attend Rogich. MY experience, over the past 11 years, has been positive. PROS: The principal is compassionate and cares about the students, but also has high expectations of students. Every event I have attended, I have seen her there, her dedication is obvious. The school offers a large range of after school activities and clubs for the students. I have had a good experience with MOST of the teachers.I have always had a good experience with the office staff. They are friendly and always try to help however they can.The counselors for my children have always been caring and helpful.Anything I have had to talk to the school about has been attended to immediately.CONS: The school is getting over crowded because of Summerlin's growth, and no new Middle School is being built anytime soon.

This school is better that I had anticipated. My son has an amazing math and band teacher and is thriving at this school. He has not had any issues with other students picking on him or bullying him. The other parents are involved. My son is in the accelerated classes and DOES get a lot of homework, however, this is to be expected; I am glad he is being challenged. Compared to my older 3 children that attended local private schools, my son at Rogich is getting a comparable education in math, english and science with the accelerated program (although the grading system is easier much easier). We also have not noticed the same drug, favoritism , and staff arrogance issues experienced at the private schools. The downsides to Rogich are overcrowding, less organization than the private schools, and less teacher communication; the infinite campus student parent portal is lacking compared to the portal at the private school.

this school is ridiculous you can get in trouble for literally anything.

This school was very stressful, everything is disorganized, nobody gets made aware of changes, and the kids hate it there.

My time at this school was terrible. They don't help the students, they don't see all angles of a story, and pick favorites. If I were a parent I would NEVER send my kid to this school.

My biggest mistake was putting my child in this school. The teachers are disorganized and unhelpful. There are no communications between teachers and parents. One particular teacher tells students to figure out their mistakes instead of correcting/commenting on their papers. Horrible experience overall!!

Uninvolved leadership, disorganized, this school needs some changes.

You would think it would get better after seventh grade but I kid you not it got worse.

I was honestly hoping for more for my kids. There is so little communication, little school spirit, etc. I think academics are good but the classes are so overcrowded. Summerlin needs more schools and somehow the great masterplan didn't get that part right. There seems to be no end to how many kids are let in the school doors. I feel like the administrators barely keep up.

Not well. I had many issues at this school when I attended. I felt pressured at everything and had been bullied multiple times. Every time I went to the counselor, they would bring the bully up and say I was the one who told on them. The bully would then come up to me and get in my face and say "Why did you say something". Me being bullied before hand, I was terrified and I said I never said anything. I had been told if I needed help, I could go to the staff and they would help me. They didn't at all. I felt like I was trapped in a prison, forced to deal with bullies and rude teachers that expected me to do things a certain way. I was once excited to go to this school, now I hate it and never wish to return. I am afraid to ask anyone for help and feel trapped when someone talks to me because I'm afraid of being yelled at or bullied. But this is how I feel, other students or adults may not feel the way I do and thats okay but I wanted to get my story out there.

As a student, not being biased or anything, but this school is fantastic. The teachers are nice (except one particular math teacher), along with the staff - ones I've met are in no way hesitant in trying to improve their students' learning experience at Sig Rogich Middle School. I so far have not experienced any bullying, nor people I know, despite being a little weird. I have had so much fun at this school. I recommend children to come to this school to celebrate this awesome learning experience. Every day is a unique surprise at Sig Rogich Middle School.
