It's been an experience. I send my 5 yr old grand son here an I've had to address issues with the teach hitting him an yelling at him. He's been bullied without a follow up just excuses. His teacher has to be changed for the second time. It's awful. They want me think due to the fact that he's a kinder that he don't know what he's talking about.. I LISTENS TO MY GRANDSON NEVER WILL I NOT.

This school has completely let my daughter downamed. Her grades have been sad to say the least throughout her years there. Even with her having an established IEP, the school completely disregards it and nothing has been done or offered to help this struggling child. Just getting them to even acknowledge that she was in dire need of an IEP was like pulling teeth. They don't care. They don't care she is and has continuously been failing. They do nothing. It's so sad to see. They don't care enough to even try to offer any sort of support to catch her up to even close to where she should be at academicly. Parent teacher conferences are a joke. They act as though they don't even know a thing about her having IEP. What is even the point of going through the pains of getting the IEP when the school doesn't even try to uphold the education guidelines and do structure support the IEP are even created for! This school has just been pushing her through each year, knowing she is failing and fudging some grade just to push her through to not being that teachers problem the next school year. She is suppose to go to middle school next year and I don't see how she could.... this school has gone so so far down and it's the students that attend here that are all suffering in the end.

Mountain View Elementary has been an excellent school for my son. The principal clearly cares about the students (calling many of them by name) and enjoys her job. I love that she is out there at the crosswalk every morning welcoming the students and keeping them safe. My son's teacher, Jennifer Rios, has also been stellar. She goes above and beyond in making sure the parents know what is happening in the classroom and keeping them up to date on the progress that has been made. I would recommend this school in a heartbeat.

When it comes to my child's learning and development he has attained while attending this school I have nothing but nice things to say. I love his teacher, she is really great with him and the other students. My god-daughter also attends this school as well and she started a year before my son, her teachers have been amazing with her as well. The school's receptionist however it a witch with a capital B in the front... and that is me putting it nicely. If there is one major flaw of the school it would be her. She has a major "Power trip" mentality and has done nothing but continually talk down to myself as well as several other parents. Git rid of her and I think the school could be rated MUCH MUCH better.

My children attend this school, I am very pleased with their teachers, the principal on the other hand is not friendly, every single time that I have had to deal with her I was waiting at least 20 minutes and thats with appointments, she even kept the entire 1 and 2 grade waiting for 25 minutes at the awards assembly, and also all of the parents and siblings. Great Teachers!!! Not So Great Principal. Oh and no apology about having us all sitting there for 25 minutes either.
