This isn't a place of learning or higher education! As a parent who HAD my child enrolled here, I can tell you that this is more like a prison environment.I understand that this isn't a nice part of Texas and the gangs everywhere around here, but that's no excuse to have this type of environment! Where is the sence of pride? Why have only 13% of teachers at this school have experience, when the state average is 84%? That is why I took my child out of this terrible school, so he could actually have a chance in life. Any parent reading, this isn't my opinion, these numbers Great School's regarding teacher's per student, Percentage of College Readiness and the Student Demographics are all facts. With all the Millions in funding that has been put into this school, I'm simply appalled at the level of learning, the way the teachers talk and act isn't the America that I know and love.

Absolutely disgusting environment for a child to have to go through! The state of Texas ranks this school at the bottom of the "Academic Learning Score", because the students have the among theLOWEST TEST SCORES in the state! The area itself is a dangerous place to raise a family and I truly feel bad for any students who have to grow up and go to school in a place like this. My husband and I moved our boy out of this area so he could have a fair chance at success in life.

My son is in now in middle school and has been their since they opened. The first year was a bit challenge as expected for any new school but we are glad we rode out that wave. Even in its challenges our son had great teachers and a principal who was transparent about the successes and challenges the school was experiencing and willing to partner with the parents to work out the kinks, as we went along. oh, the virtual experience since COVID is definitely one to model all schools after. The online has been as engaging AND interactive as in person, including Strength & Conditioning (Physical Education) which he has at 7:45 am! Coach really has them on it in front of the camera working out! Love it! Excited to see what 7th grade has in store!
