The school itself is pretty ugly, the teachers are okay but there is way to much spending in special needs, not enough in fine arts. It's great if your going to do lots of sports, but other than that it's not very good.

This school is hands down one of the better schools in the state, but sometimes it’s frustrating when they cut classes and fan favorite teachers are laid off cause of budget cuts yet the art room gets a new remodel. I’m Not a fan of the Jurassic changes they made over the 3 years I’ve attended, from completely altering the schedule to trying to fit 300+ students in a lunch room at the same time. I’ve seen people standing and sitting on the floor. BUT to be fair there made good changes and some of the most genuine staff, id like to shout out Mrs. Shelby, the student council teacher. Mrs. Weber the gym teacher and Mrs Weber the LA teacher. Also the two deans, they are good at establish punishment, well coming from someone who’s been sent to the office before. And the school is constantly getting remodeled from New floors to new lockers, it’s nice yet I don’t like the new modern blue look they are forcing into all the schools but at least everything Is new. Overall this school is nice and easy going but lacks student modivation.

Concerned, conscientious staff make MMS a great place for their students. There is a friendly welcoming feeling from the minute you walk in the door. MMS is the first AVID demonstration school in the State. AVID is a college prep community but the principles are taught to all at MMS. MMS also ranks in the top of the state on their standardized test scores.
