I believe Lakeview has improved greatly over the last couple of years. There is more focus on our children learning what they will need to know to succeed in our ever-changing, globally competitive world. I feel there is better communication between the staff and parents than there use to be. I'm confident my son is receiving the education each child should be entitled to in a friendly, caring atmosphere in which bullying is dealt with immediately and the safety of our children is priority. Lakeview use to be a school where you either had to be a great athlete or come from a family with big bucks. This is not the case anymore! I hope to see continued improvements for every child's future!

You have a school in deep financial trouble, where past Administrators (and present) were inept, where the union is underperforming and has no sense of responsibility whining about cuts and pay while Michigan's U6 unemployment rate is 20%+, where the parents of these kids can't read and write themselves, where exceptions and performances are low. Where sports are more important than cerebral matter, Other than that, it has a nice view of the sunrise.

It's a nice school, but I sure would like the gym back during lunch.. I wish students would clean up there mess and not randomly hurt each other in the gym (throwing basketballs/goofing off). We only get gym on half days:(
