I had both my boys in this school. Hands down the best school and teachers. We moved and had to change school. I miss the teachers and friendly office staff. Never had any problems unlike the new school. Thank you Ms Tatom great school, wish the new school was better

Be careful with this school. I've pulled both of my children out for different reasons. Their advanced program, Alpha, is only a part-time solution, leaving intelligent children bored. They "teach to the tests." Car riders have to endure further test prep after school, before being allowed to head to their parents car. Although the guidance counselor seems to genuinely care about the students, he is part of a small minority. The principal (Ms. Tatom) is about as fake and career-oriented as you could ever possibly imagine, there to further her career, not to help create successful students (just good test takers...have to keep that "A" rating). The worst experience was the brutality of the bullying my youngest endured. He was kicked, punched, slapped, pushed down, and more...all in P.E. The verbal torment left him in tears and he began to withdraw and have anger issues. Even with marks left on him at times, he was still left around the bullies, who never seemed to be punished. Neither of my children attended the school past 3rd grade. No 6-8 year old should be bullied in a place that is supposed to have "zero tolerance" for bullies.

I volunteer, and have a child there as a student. There are multiple behavioral issues that go unattended. Several dollars go into the school for classroom aides, bit few have them. It seems for the am o nut of money going into it, the students during the regular school year are not getting what they need. Yes, they have great summer school programs, as well as fun summer programs, bit lack what students need to be successful the rest of the school year.

My Son has been going to Kathleen Elementary since he was in K, he is in 3rd grade. He loves the school and does very well. His teachers have all been fantastic and two of them still keep in touch with him. The principal is wonderful, she is there taking pictures and being very involved during events such as student success nights. Great Country school with great education to offer.

This is my son's third year at KES and he loves the school. He went from Pre-K and is now in 1st. He has never complained about his teachers or class mates. He loves the principal, who seems very friendly and has a love for all children. When I visit the campus unexpectedly, it is always clean and the staff is always polite and professional. They are a great school and I'm proud of my little KES Cougar!
