High school administration is horrible. Please do your children a favor and home-school or open enroll somewhere else. Don't put your children on this sinking ship.

Principal at the school is allowed to curse, harass and bully students and falsify records. After contacting numerous individuals that could have rectified the matter instead chose to close the door to possibilities to remedy the situation (Velasquez/School Board President and Sperintendant/Neshyba, others like Christopher Hollie would not even return phone calls). In fact, this goes against verbiage that's documented on the district's website of helping students succeed. This school practices are unprofessional and unethical, sweep everything under the rug type of school when it comes to staff members and injustices happening at the school.

HomeworkThe school doesn't really give any homework. The only homework you ever get will be work not completed in class.TeachersThis schools teachers are alright, some are horrible and treat students with disrespect, While some are absolutely amazing and treat the student with respect.LeadershipI feel as though the principles of schools should be the main person leading, However in this school it is as if the students run it. The only time I have ever seen a principle is when they yell at the school for getting in so many fights and people missing so many days of school. They don't even check the teachers lesson plans.CharacterSeeing as how there are about 2 fights a day I would like to go out on a limb and say that this school doesn't develop strong character in the students.BullyingThe teachers don't do anything about bullying. Honestly if teachers weren't in the hallways everything would be the exact same.

I have 2 younger children with one entering high school. I am sending her to a charter school! I do not want anyone from my family ever attending this school again! It's highly unfortunate my taxes pay for this district!

I attend here right now and it's terrible. Teachers are disrespectful. So many fights between classes. Coaching staff is the worst. This school is so focused on the athletics program when it can't even win a game in any of the sports here!!!!! They need to focus on the band and choir and theater and art. That's where all the good qualities are at!!!!!! They can actually bring something back home to actually give us a good name for ourselves instead of LAMEWORTHLESS

This school is the worst high school I've ever been in, I am deeply saddened to be a student of the terrible Lake Worth High School, for one, there are 2 fights a day, these fights put us students at risk, of getting hurt, people nearby don't see it coming, and everyone notices a fight after it starts obviously but, then, it doesn't allow you enough time to get out of the main area, before you're knocked out by a chair being thrown, or by a whole table, this school is terrible as in trying to separate fights, as soon as one starts, everyone starts saying FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!! These students obviously are very rough, and they fight for the stupidest reasons, (aka fighting in school physically) like in the morning, two guys fought because some guy took his corn dog, then the next fight was during lunch when someone pushed someone else. WHAT A RIDICULOUS REASON TO FIGHT!!! And also, this school has something called trust cards, this is NOT the appropriate way to show trust to students, a trust card is not gonna make me want to pass! A TRUST CARD IS A REALLY STUPID IDEA OF SHOWING TRUST IN BETWEEN TEACHERS AND STUDENTS!! Trust should be determined by our history, have we been trustworthy before? Not by a card, this is not a good way to train children on trust, I am not satisfied with this school as there is also only one language (Spanish) and no other, I already know Spanish, why do I need to relearn it, I can write and speak it perfectly "Hola! Como Estas!" Son las Diez Menos Veinticinco mientras estoy typiando esto"NO TRANSLATOR, promise, but honestly, I WOULD THINK ABOUT What would happen if my child got hurt in a place he should be coming to for safety? I WOULD THINK 3 TIMES BEFORE COMING HERE!!! You should be really surprised I'm not like the other kids here, that say "I think that's urs." It sounds unprofessional and unclean, this texting language is useful at times when you have to type quick but not all the time.

It's a mess. Technology is given but not applied, too much focus on athletic program. Not enough courses based on specialized subjects, only broad overviews that are not helpful for any specific career. Pathways can end partway with no continuation, the admin and teacher communication is always terrible, with teachers often knowing after students. There is no clear information distributor. Lunchfood is not funded enough to be edible. Teachers and staff completely switch out often, with a large amount of staff leaving each year and newer, less experienced teachers entering instead. Only spanish is taught, no other languages are available. Few teachers are properly able to manage classes and curriculum. Textbooks are not supplied at all, with teachers just funding their own classes. Students do not get a varied way of learning, with copying down notes and powerpoints being the only option. Computers need to be replaced. The locks in all bathrooms but the two in the front are broken. Lockers are not being utilized. They removed wifi from students, which means no way to communicate with the outside world, since there is no 4g. Teachers have held doors and yelled at students. This school is horrible. There are rats and roaches. The classes do not teach us what we need. There is no drivers ed program. They no longer allow us to change classes if we cannot function. The reading level is low around the school, likely due to there not being any fun engaging reading material being presented, only things written in 18000 which only teaches old english, which will not help at all and also is very badly thought out. Theater is very badly funded, with 50 kid classes with one teacher, and not enough chairs. The school frequently requests money for things (ipads, psat) and then not asking for money the next year. There are not enough seats in the lunch room to account for student politics, and there is no proper trust between staff and student. As for the much less spoken of inclusion, for LGBT+ there is none. It's not even a known acronym to the student body. Sexism is strongly enforced by admins. Gender roles as well. Racism is practiced by student body and not stopped by staff. DO NOT bring your kids here. If your kids are already here, REMOVE THEM. If you're a student...good luck.

Like any school I believe there is room for improvement. The feedback I get from my son is that the administration does not treat the students with any respect. He feels that they are rude when speaking to students and make them feel they are unimportant and wasting their time, when students have questions. I hear positive things about most of the teachers. The principles are the key leaders at each school they should always lead by example. It is their job to evaluate facility and staff performance and to see to it that they are effective leaders to serve the needs of students. As a parent I hope that our students, faculty and staff will respect each other and have a real passion for their role at LWHS 2015/2016 school year. So that we will have that Five Star Rating for best district in academic programs, principle leadership, teacher leadership and parent involvement. Students, teachers and parents we are the only ones who can make the LWISD a better learning experience .So instead of the negative lets be positive

This school is not really good, because of the teachers being on their phones and iPads durning class and at the pep rally's. The food they feed us is not edible, some of the teachers don't act like they really care about teaching some of the teacher, but some teachers are very good at their jobs like the Spanish teachers Ruiz, and veliz. And the teachers won't stop any of the seniors from throwing footballs at the freshmen at pep rally's, their is no home coming dance but their is a foot ball game and a parade for home coming. So before u send ur kids here deeply consider it.

This school is ok it's not the best school but there are some teachers that honestly do care for there students and the atheltics program is the hardest working part of the school coach Belloc works his butt off for us. But the academics is pretty good but we are wayyy behind other schools. The race diversity.. It's manly black and Mexican very few whites. But overall I don't think I would leave once a bullfrog always a bullfrog
