My son has been at this school since Kinder-3rd grade now. I could not be happier; the school makes every effort possible to involve parents in the learning process and as such my son has been successful with his test scores and progress. There are areas of improvement especially in the Dual Language program for children that are not Hispanics. I feel that more support is required as the child is learning a foreign and new language. Other than that, the school and teachers are outstanding, and they have all encouraged growth and learning. I would highly recommend.

My step son has been going to NGE for 4 years now and we couldn’t be happier. Great teaching staff and administrators that are truly passionate about making a difference and bringing out a child’s potential. We will also be sending our daughter there when she is old enough. Would highly recommend.

The only thing they taught my child was to bite their nails and fingers. As a reward, they gave disciplinary punishment in the first month. I don't know in which school a kindergarten student is punished with disciplinary action when he gets angry because he didn't win a prize in the first month. Also, my son fainted once at school and fell once. she injured her head and face. Neither my son was taken to the hospital, nor was there any communication with us to take him to the hospital. A lousy school in one sentence.

A great school with passionate staff and an incredible community of connected families.

North Grade Elementary has really been great! The teachers are usually all fun, but they also provide an amazing education. The fine arts teachers are diligent and passionate about their jobs, especially the current music teacher. Two special programs of the school are dual language and gifted. My son is in gifted and like I stated before, all of his teachers were/are great! The 2011-2012 principal, Ms.Debbie Battles was very good at her job and we miss her.Anyways, you should definitely check out this school!

This is a school that really cares for their students and has a great team of people! The fact that many teachers have their own kids in it says a lot about the dual language program. I am so grateful to have this school in our lives. About the FCAT review, I think this schools really tries to help students to meet state standards but at the same time don't even gets closer to the pressure that other schools give into them. A lot of parent involvement.
