My daughter started her 7th grade math sessions with Mr. Smith late last year and the improvement is astonishing! Prior to starting, she had major test anxiety because she wasn’t confident in her math skills and was too shy to ask for help in class but in just a few short months, her math comprehension, ability to solve problems and confidence seems to be soaring (her grades reflect the same).I have to add that we tried a major math tutoring franchise and a “highly recommended” online tutoring program for a combined year and felt both methods of teaching seemed to be working backwards for her. We are over the moon to have discovered Armenta Learning Academy and are beyond thrilled to see our girl thrive in this setting. Thank you!!

I recently joined the staff at ALA. The teachers here will go above and beyond to see our students succeed. I love to see Armenta’s individualized and responsive approach to learning. The path we each take to the finish line may vary, but the journey is the priority, not just reaching the finish line. I have spent most of my years teaching young learners, so I believe instilling a joy of learning is critical for future successes. It is great to see students arriving and leaving ALA each day with big smiles. I love their specialized approach to teach the whole child since we all learn and excel in different ways. I like to make learning fun for students, not just a rote process, and that is just what ALA does. As a reading specialist and a 25+year elementary teacher with a masters in reading education, I can definitely say this is a great place to learn.

Our experience at Armenta Learning Academy has been exceptional. The teachers are truly invested in my children’s education and their growth as learners. Adjustments are made as needed to meet the needs of the student. Small class sizes and leveled learning have enabled my children to gain confidence in their learning abilities.The administration is open minded and think outside the box to make Armenta Learning Academy a successful educational experience for the students. Armenta Learning Academy is committed to the whole child. They teach value lessons, communication and leadership skills.

Armenta Learning Academy is such a hidden gem of a school! It is so great for students that might not thrive in traditional school environments where the needs of the whole child are not always met. Teachers at Armenta care so deeply about the success of their students and differentiate instruction so that students are receiving personal and individualized attention for their learning needs. I have loved being a teacher at Armenta— the staff is gracious, organized, and detail-oriented which helps students have a great learning experience that is properly prepared for in advance. Truly, one of the best parts of working at Armenta is seeing how teachers care deeply for the whole child and are attentive to their needs that extend beyond just their academic goals. This summer, I have been leading Armenta’s science program and working with several other students on their writing and reading skills. If you are thinking about working at Armenta Learning Academy or sending your child here, it is worth it! Mrs. Armenta cares so deeply about her students’ success in all aspects of their life, and works hard to create a comfortable and safe environment at the learning academy that students always love coming back to!

It is a pleasure to be a tutor at Armenta Learning Academy. Mrs. Armenta is warm, caring, respectful, trustworthy, and truly cares about her students and staff. Mrs. Armenta is extremely knowledgeable, and an expert in the field of education. The staff are passionate about working with students, are supportive of one another, and have a team effort mentality. I have learned so much from Mrs. Armenta in the short time I have worked at ALA, and she is very supportive, encouraging, and nurturing. ALA offers a wide range of classes, programs, mentoring, and support to name a few. Mrs. Armenta tailors services to each student, and meets them where they are regarding their cognitive, social, and/or emotional level. She finds creative ways to teach students, holds them to a high standard, but most importantly, she makes learning fun in a safe and comfortable environment. I highly recommend Armenta Learning Academy to families.

We came to ALA looking for help, mostly for reading comprehension, and for communication. Mr. Smith helps him with these and so much more. He not only provides learning, but also a natural and relaxed environment where he can develop the skills he needs for social interaction and communication. He has gained new friends here too. ALA gives Mikhos a chance to grow into his full potential. They teach what kids need academically, and they also help develop skills which are not easy to learn. Thank you, ALA!

Being an educator at Armenta Learning Academy has been such a blessing. I met Mrs. Armenta through Armenta Pet Academy. As we were getting to know each other we instantly connected, and we had the same mission to help children and animals. I love what Mrs. Armenta does at both Armenta Learning Academy and Armenta Pet Academy. Not only is Mrs. Armenta a great boss, but she is also a wonderful educator and role model. Everyone at ALA is so welcoming and supportive of each other and I truly enjoy going to work every day! I love being able to teach a variety of subjects and work with all the different students that come to ALA, both during ALA’s morning school and after school tutoring programs. I specialize in ABA, Neurofeedback Therapy, American Sign Language, and working with elementary and special needs students. My BA is in Deaf studies and community service, with a concentration on literacy and I love being able to incorporate my knowledge in those areas here at ALA. I enjoy being creative with my teaching and I love facilitating crafts and activities for the students. I also have the pleasure of overseeing the Armenta Learning Academy Store, which has been such a great way to reward, reinforce, and encourage students to work hard. I am so thrilled to be an educator in such a wonderful learning environment, one that I wish I had access to growing up. I delight in seeing the students having fun and enjoying school! I readily recommend Armenta Learning Academy to families and give it 10 Stars!

Ms. Armenta has been my mentor, my counselor, and my teacher for almost 2 years. My life has been transformed in so many wonderful ways. She is a sweet soul who truly and wholeheartedly cares about her students and people in general. A true delight to work with. I am so grateful for her insight and knowledge, her ability to help me through some of my darkest times. It’s nice to know that I always have somebody that I can trust and go to any time needed. She’s helped me set goals and thanks to her I continue to achieve my marks one at a time, she shows me that all things are possible and achievable. I believe that NOW, that’s far from where I was a few months ago, life only gets better and better. She is a true blessing, I am so thankful to have her in my life. I highly recommend, she will change your life, 10 stars!!

Ms Armenta and her teachers are a God send for my son and myself. They are able to help him thrive academically and help him feel more confident. No other program has been able to do this for him. He’s always a little down trodden and very shy, at ALA he is excited, ready to focus and get his work down and he’s happy and excited to show me what he has completed. Hands down Armenta Learning Academy is a hidden gem and more parents should know about it. I’ll be shouting it to the world. Call the school and ask questions, Mrs Armenta will gladly answer as many questions you might have. She makes you feel like family.

Nothing but great things to say about this school. I didn’t think I could afford a private school that was this great and placed such a strong emphasis on academics. Boy, was I wrong. My kid was shown so much love and attention and we (his parents) thought he had ADHD when he first started. However, the staff went above and beyond to make sure he could reach his potential. We stopped his therapy because his behavior and learning improved so much after attending this wonderful school. Don’t hesitate to send your kids in full confidence that they’ll be in good hands. Mrs. Armenta is such a blessing.

I would rate my experience to be 100% they do awesome with all kids nd parents, and are so respectful and truly know what they are doing. I have seen many kids, as well as my own, succeed tremendously when attending this academy. I definitely would recommend to anyone and everyone!

My daughter currently attends this school for tutoring in reading. Our experience has been fantastic! My daughter has special needs and requires lots of extra care and attention. Mrs. Armenta is able to reach the hard to teach kids with great skill and a kind heart. We are so grateful to have found her and highly recommend this school !!

My nephew was diagnosed early in life with autism/aspergers, OCD, and ADD. He is going into his junior year of college and has been having a very difficult time dealing with school, depression and several other social issues. I reached out to Mrs. Armenta and scheduled an appointment with Mr. Smith, needless to say they have given him the tools and support that he needed to help him! Mr. Smith has shown him that his conditions are not disabilities but actually assets and how to utilize these assets to his advantage! He looks forward to future sessions at the Armenta learning academy. I highly recommend this Academy to any parent who has a child that is struggling, get them the help that they need at this Academy. I can’t thank them enough!

Excellent experience for my daughter. Her love of learning and sense of self was restored. They foster your child’s gifts and help them regain confidence in themselves. They will not give up on your child. Beautiful experience with the private tutoring and Home school.

I LOVE ARMENTA LEARNING ACADEMY! I love Mr. Smith and how patient he is with Ari. It's funny to see them together from years ago when Ari was younger and smaller until now. I love when Mr. Smith shares much needed, meaningful life lessons to Ari. It's good for Ari to be introduced to those life lessons in addition to his regular school work. I know it's not always easy Mr. Smith, but I really do appreciate you and your hard efforts to try to reinforce knowledge into Ari. I appreciate how you try to teach him to respect others. We found out about Julie through a friend and it was the best referral we could have received. Our daughter was struggling with reading and math. After the first 3 weeks we noticed a huge improvement in her ability to read and comprehend. Our daughters self esteem and confidence grew as well.Julie has a very warm personality and she makes sure both the parent and child feel right at home. Julie took the time to learn about our daughter and spotlight her strengths and focus on her weaknesses in a fun and open environment. I would highly recommend Julie and her staff!!!
