Has some of the worst teachers ever barely learnt anything and has a big bullying and fighting problem that they seemingly do not care about since nothing has been done to fix it besides detention I had switched to doing online school from this school and have had a much better time learning and the teacher who oversees my schooling is the nicest and best teacher ive ever had from the school

I loved Lakeland from the day i started even when I was having a baby. Staff helped me when my family wouldn't. They are all like family. I may not have graduated but they all are a great big family.

Although a few teachers were passionate, the overall education I received from Lakeland was poor. I was not prepared for a college education and given no direction for college. I struggled to adjust in college and had to acquire skills on my own to adapt to the new environment. I am now in a doctorate program after having to complete a bachelor's degree (which was not required for admission) and a master's degree to be prepared. Although I am one of the few academically successful alumni, I was always put in the class with troubled students, while the "gifted" students were recognized and placed in a "special" class each year. The school system liked to categorize students based on last name.

I have gone to Lakeland all of my life. I do like many things about it, however there are a lot of things in the regulations that contradict themselves. They are two faced at times. A good example would be the no idling policy to protect the children. If you idle you get yelled at. If you are picking someone up at the middle school and park so that you do not waste all of your gas IDLING they do not like that either. They will tell you to go to the end of the line. Another example is when they do not have any money to put into the education, but they can afford to send the higher up administration around on five golf carts when all of them could fit on one. They also like to spend unneeded amounts of money on sports events. Now for the positives. Each student gets a laptop to use for the school year as well as a lot of education on technology. I tend to like most of the teachers and do not seem to have much of and issue.

Well, I'm a student of Lakeland High, a senior in fact, and let me tell you. Since I'm in Special ED., I don't suffer from too much hard work but my parents (like some people reviewing the okay "rat-hole" of a school Corp.l) said the school doesn't have money to support separate buses for the Special ED. kids from the others, separate buses for both Middle and High School students (yes, both Middle and High schoolers ride the same buses), good tasting food, amongst others. To make matters worst, they added (tax money-wasting) programs to "help" students pass but with mixed results. To wrap this up, Lakeland is a school of both a rat-hole and a blessed place
