It was the worst school I have gone to. I spent my middle school years here. I was exposed to way too much, and no one ever got in trouble. The admin change was a much-needed one.

If you plan on letting your child attend this school, don't. This school has a few teachers that make their class fun. However, bullying is a serious problem at this school. This can range from fighting, name calling, to even racism. As I've been here, racism has grew a lot. The teachers seem to take this very lightly saying simple things like, "So immature." There aren't a lot of students that are actually friendly. Children are made fun or for things they can't even control. So, I don't recommend you let your child attend this school.

Overall experience it is not a good one, there are far too many elective class than academic classes. Does there really need to be that many elective class for a middle school? Gifted aka smart students are not being challenged like they should. The AP classes ,as they call them, in my opinion are not AP classes. They are no where near challenging enough as they should be. Some of the young teachers seem like they are more interested in being the students friends than their teacher. And it seems to reflect in how the young teacher(s) are grading the students assignments. Students are not allowed to use the lockers within the school and there has never been reason given as to why they can not use them. My daughters book bag is so heavy now that her back has begun to hurt as a result. When she told one of her teachers, the response my daughter was given was basically that she had to deal with it. All in all, there is not enough focus on academics, challenging the smarter students than there is with football, drone racing and some of other sport activities.

Middle school has been a challenging experience for my child, but she has managed to do well at LCMS so far. My daughter has experienced a bit of culture shock with the things that middle school brings (she may have been too sheltered at her excellent elementary school), but LCMS staff and counselors have worked with us very well on any issues we have had. The academics are challenging and fun for my gifted child. We have no major complaints against the school or staff at all.

My children came from a elementary school that went above and beyond to help their students. I was shocked when my son started here. It is the complete opposite. The teachers here are not 100% invested in their students. You can look at the ratings and tell the leadership here needs to make a change. They could be so much better than what they are if they would invest in every student mentally, emotionally, and academically.

My daughter was placed in only 2 AP classes after having all A's in all AP classes last year. School not interested in challenging gifted children.
