My elder son has been supported at this school with help in math and reading, without being made to feel different. The faculty are awesome and we are happy with the teachers. My younger son is also thriving. They both love their school. I would recommend Ryan to anyone moving to the area.

Teachers are supportive and my kiddo has improved so much this year since being academically neglected in their last school.

Hi, my name is Tatum .T and its January 31 2023 used to go to this school 5 years ago. preschool all the way to 3rd grade and those years that I spent there was the best school years of my life. But now that I'm in 8th grade, school is SO BOOOOOORRRIINNGGGG. But the teachers in Ryan are sooooooooo great and they do such fun stuff in S.A.C and I love how they brought the cona ice truck every now and then. And they do so much fun stuff when a holiday comes. My nieces go there and one is in second grade and the other is in preschool. The art teacher is amazing and he teaches the best taktics for those future artists. In one class there was a bath tub that if you got the lunch box for that class and you would put something inside that lunch box from your house then you could sit in the bath tub the whole class, and i don't remember how it exactly went but i think that's how it went (and it had pillow and blankets in it) . But my niece says its not there anymore but idk It might or might not be still there but it was so fun.

I pulled my son out of the BVSD school district this year and it was the best thing I have ever done. He spent the whole school year mask free and in the classroom. He has advanced so much in one year since moving him out of this horrible system. Time for a change I would pull all our kids out to get a fresh start.

Ryan is an excellent school! We’ve enjoyed all the teachers and being part of a great community. Ours kids feel challenged to grow and love this school!

I would give 0 if I could. This school provides such a toxic environment. My kid has been harassed by this child for the past few years (they just keep putting them in the same class hoping they can be friends?!?) and they haven’t done anything. They have useless counseling program, which no one is interested in follow-ups. Moms(even PTA members) and dads complain about teachers and other parents after school. They say so loudly that you can hear clearly who they are talking about. Also teachers hate the new principal. It’s a mess.

Unless you have money you'll get the shove off and will be ignored. I'm actually contacting the district in how tests were made worse for my daughter and how the IEP teacher, front seat staff, and principal were not supporting her.

We love Ryan!! Teachers and staff are awesome and the overall approach to learning is top notch. Great welcoming community feel. The kids are encouraged to be their best self and empowered when confronted with the few kids that have behavioral issues. Staff have demonstrated a very fair approach/concious effort to handling disruptive students in our experience. The art and science program are truly wonderful and the school garden is a great feature!

I am very impressed with Ryan Elementary School. I believe it to be our community's best kept secret. Both of my children participated in many extra curricular activities (sign up early to get space). The Math and Science focus was very successful in getting both my son and daughter interested in pursuing engineering careers. My son had many school trips to visit NCAR, NOA, etc. They are in Angevine Middle School now getting straight A's (and score excellent on CSAP tests) so I feel their elementary education was quite good. I miss the Ryan parent-teacher community. It felt very tight knit. The teacher's were exceptonal.

I love Ryan Elementary! What a sense of community this school has. I love the diversity of the student population and the wonderful staff. My recommendation, get involved at the school! Our new principal is a perfect fit for the the community feel of this school. I'll desperately miss it as my children move to middle school.

We love Ryan Elementary! This is my 10th year with children at Ryan. We have had nothing but great experiences at the school. The teachers are all so caring and many have been at teaching there for 10+ years. There are some amazing after school programs (most of them are free) as well. Currently there is a web design class. How great is that! The new principal is amazing!
