The teachers and staff here are amazing!! The program is very successful and it has been so rewarding to watch my children learn to read and write in another language. Not to mention the beautiful campus surrounded by all the beautiful trees!!

I have to admit when my daughter first started at ladera palma I was so worried that she wouldn’t do well with the dual immersion program. However, the staff and teachers have been amazing and I’m enjoying how excited my daughter has been with speaking Spanish and learning all the amazing things.

We have 2 sons enrolled and cannot be more happy with the teachers that they've had. Their teachers support and care for their entire we'll being. They allow them to learn in a comfortable environment and help them get the most out of their lessons. Their fluency in spanish is getting better with every year that passes and I cannot be a more proud parent that they are able to converse with their Nana and other relatives that speak Spanish. Thank you Dr Murillo and all the teachers and staff for being big part of our family. You all are amazing!

We love Ladera Palma and have our kids on an inter district permit from Lowell Joint to participate in this program. The school welcomes all and truly works with families to benefit all children. It truly takes a village to raise our children into well rounded individuals and Ladera has been an amazing partner for our family. It is an all inclusive dual Immersion campus, not just a special track within a school. All students and family feel welcomed and Included.

Ladera Palma has been fantastic. The dual immersion program is top notch. Family values are a priority and overall curriculum is conservative and challenging.

Ill be honest, my wife and I were hesitant to send our children to LH city Schools. But being that I am the #1 Realtor in the area, I had to support the schools that I promote through my sales. So we sent our kids to the Dual Immersion program at Ladera Palma and we couldn't be happier with our decision. My oldest has been there since kindergarten and is now in 5th grade. She is fluent in Spanish and my 3rd and 1st grader are both loving it as well. A school and district is only as good as the parents that send their kids there and there is a ton of great engagement from other parents, city leaders and the local PTA. Don't let all these old fake reviews sway you. LH City schools have really re-invented themselves in the last 5 years and its a great choice for your kids.

The year started great but later turned "sour" in finding my child didn't fit their "cookie cutter mold". I bent over backwards trying everything they suggested to help my child but was dismissed with any suggestions I had to help my child succeed(really felt like we do things our way and if you dont like it thats a you problem. My child struggled daily to complete their work at school and in the classroom but when we are home or at a realitives home they explode with all the spanish they are learning but sadly as a result of their "not learning" the principle washed her hands of my child(at least if feels like that). Overall I feel like this school really let my child down.

Our first experience at this school was during the early part of the pandemic with widespread school shutdowns. We did virtual learning, and while it was certainly challenging to anyone, our experience at Ladera Palma was excellent. The teachers were obviously very good and experienced in their specialty (Dual Language Immersion-Spanish) as well as the business of educating and engaging children. Despite the challenges, the presence of the admin staff, principal and other employees was readily apparent because they orchestrated virtual movie nights and drive through events to keep kids and families entertained and connected. Frequent updates by the principal (Dra Murillo) showed us just how important our children were to the school. This has only gotten better since transitioning back to in-person classes. The assistants and outdoor attendants during morning drop off are aware, interactive and clearly paying attention to who is showing up to bring kids. In an uncertain climate in which everyone is on high alert for the safety of our kids, I feel that the staff is doing their best to know who belongs and who doesn't belong outside the school. There is fencing all around and clear points of entry so children aren't wandering around unattended nor are adults able to come into campus without being confirmed. Our experience with the teachers has been fabulous. Our child's Spanish language capabilities has greatly improved while being here, to the point that she is comfortable speaking in either English or Spanish both with family and friends.School has a highly engaged PTA and has come up with creative and appropriate field trips for the kids in this transition back to in-person schooling.

Not sure how they come up with these ratings. My kids have been going to Ladera Palma for 4 years now. I have 3 kids enrolled, Kindergarten, 2nd grade and 4th grade. I don't have a single bad thing to say. The staff is amazing, the dual immersion program is amazing and this school should be a 10.

This site does not have accurate and updated information on this school. Ladera Palma is a Dual Immersion Academy and is such an amazing school. The staff works very hard and are so dedicated to the children they are teaching. This was evident during the 2020-21pandemic and school closures. They went above what was expected and continued to provide a valuable education, remotely and when they returned for hybrid instruction. I am so pleased with my children's education and overall experience at Ladera Palma. I would highly recommend the program to anyone looking into a Dual Immersion program.

The entire district was revamped in the 2018/2019 school year and this school was transformed from a neighborhood K-3 school into the TK-6 Dual Immersion Academy where students are Bilingual, Bi-literate, and Bi-cultural. The Dia de los Muertos Celebration and Fiesta de Mayo performances are fantastic. Students are learning in both Spanish and English and are supported at every level from the parents up to the district level.

Test scores are extremely concerning. There was a huge nose-dive in the 2012-2013 school year. I see no real innovation inside the classrooms. I also don't see students who could be excelling get pushed to do more. This school and leadership are just okay. I hear a lot of Spanish being spoken both inside and outside the classroom. We are looking to move as soon as possible to get our student in a better school.

It is unfathomable why the test scores are falling low every year in this once known as 'ladera perfect' school. This school has not shown much growth over the past few years and it is very concerning for those planning to purchase a house in this school's neighborhood (Most houses sell in the range of ~500K). Parents,do your due diligence before choosing this school for your child.
