My son recently transitioned to Tate’s for 6th grade and our family could not be happier! The campus, staff and learning environment are truly unique and amazing! We are so blessed to have discovered Tate’s!

Tates School has been an incredible blessing for our son! He is excited to go to school everyday and is greeter by joyful teachers who really care about his learning! The opportunities for him to experience the outdoors is unlike any other classroom environment I have seen. Tates teachers and administrators focus on developing a well rounded child emotionally, physically, and academically!

My first impression upon visiting Tate’s School is quite positive! Kimberly Lamb with admissions is extremely friendly and informative. The teachers seem to know exactly how to engage with the children in their classroom. I love how this school feels like a home away from home and look forward to being a part of this community!

As an educator myself, I can confidently say that choosing Tate's School has been the best decision we've ever made for our son's education. From the moment he started in the Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program to now, as he completes his final year in 8th grade, we've watched him thrive in an environment that's perfect for whole-child development.The staff at Tate's take an individualized approach to education that sets them apart. They recognize and nurture each child's unique potential. Walking through the campus of Tate's, you'll see students genuinely engaged in their learning. Tate’s is such an incredible place for children and families! The teachers have such a true passion for kids and innovative/creative academics. Children have a blast while learning without knowing how advanced their lessons really are. Every single employee on campus is so caring, compassionate, and friendly. They make you feel like family all the time. Everyone here truly cares about the children and families who attend here and you feel it consistently. The kids have so much fun that they never want to leave! Safety is always a concern regarding children and I feel so confident in their safety plans. There was a false alarm/school lockdown in the area. The children on Tate’s campus were cared for and protected without fearing the situation. I love how much time kids spend outside and even have swim classes. The classrooms are all in separate buildings around campus creating friendships between students of all grades. This campus is truly a family environment which both students and parents love dearly!! I can’t praise every single employee here enough!

Our overall experience with Tate's has been great! The kids often ask to stay after to hang out with friends. They feel safe in this environment and if there is conflict amongst children it is dealt with in a respectful and thoughtful way. The Tate's community are a diverse group of parents seeking an academic environment where time spent outside is the norm vs. the exception. Many are engaged in some capacity to support the sense of community. Tate's events often feel like a big family gathering. The classrooms are appropriately sized for the small classes and are often quite the reflection of the teachers. Many of them are cozy and in cabin style buildings. Kids walk across campus to Music, Art, Gym and Lunch - getting outside several times a day.

Tate’s School is extraordinary, and the teachers and staff are wonderful! We are from out of state and enrolled our 12YE in Tate’s middle school last year. She was made to feel welcome in the group from the start – which is so important at this age. We are constantly impressed by the quality of care and education, as well as the focus on personal growth and character development. The teachers are phenomenal mentors who show a passion for education and a real respect for the students. We love the hands-on learning and campus approach at Tate’s, which is so vital and valuable for teens. Advanced academics are imperative, but the HOW of teaching and learning is where Tate’s excels! I really think our daughter’s life has been enriched by attending Tate’s and highly recommend it to others. The campus is stunning, the teachers are outstanding, and the faculty is caring and compassionate. Your child will be well educated AND cared for at Tate’s. There is a real sense of community here! My only regret is that we missed the elementary school years here.

We absolutely LOVE Tate's. The small classes help teachers focus on the needs of each child. There is so much hands-on learning and my children are both thriving here. I also love that they get to have time outdoors and they are not stuck inside behind a desk all day. Tate's is truly a learning experience for students.I would highly recommend it to anyone. My kids love going to school here.

We have two children at Tate's and could not be happier with our overall experience at this institution. Tate's accelerated learning STEM curriculum challenges our kids the right amount academically and the small classroom sizes gives them the individual attention they need to excel at their own pace. We also enjoy The 54 acre campus which encourages outdoor learning, recess, and lunches!

Tate's is more than a school, it is a family. Both of our kids are challenged daily academically in extremely creative ways....they love it and don't even realize when they're learning! They are consistently ahead of their peers academically. The teachers go above and beyond to engage with the students-no busy work which is so refreshing! The hands on learning opportunities are plentiful & the campus they have to learn on couldn't be more perfect. The small classes allow for the right amount of 1-1 attention while also allowing strong friendships to form. Plenty of opportunities to spread their wings as well-from oral presentations to research projects-there's always a new challenge to continue their growth. Both of our children are diagnosed ADHD and we have been well supported by the teachers & staff with the accomodations suggested by their doctors. It is not a public school so the services provided are not the same as one would find in that setting but they are more than willing to be a partner in our kids' well being & we could not be happier!I have read some of the other reviews and was inspired to share my experience - I am simply a parent myself and hope my review can help other parents who might be trying to find their school family as I remember being on that journey ourselves! Not every school is the right fit for every family, and thankfully there are many great choices out there for us. I would encourage anyone considering Tate's to make a visit, talk to the teachers....see how it fits for your family! Once you visit campus you'll see how special a place it is! :)

Tates psychologically damaged my child!! This school advertises their care for children, but they do the opposite. The curriculum is old and they push young kids to go above 2 grades…Spelling words for 2nd grade are: onomatopoeia, mannequin!!! Unnecessary stress that can psychologically affect children development. They forced us to believe that out child had ADHD, requesting us to medicate her. She had stress and anxiety caused by the school and the teacher. So sad!! Several kids were “invited” to leave the school. So many parents took their kids out. All these positive reviews were written by them. Our biggest mistake in life was trusting Tates with our child.

If your child is average, they will likely be fine at Tates. However if your child is academically advanced or need additional help, I would not recommend Tates.

This school feels like a small community, where everyone is loved and cared for. My child is excited to go to school every day. The classroom doesn't feel like a box. I love how kids are exposed to the outdoors and nature around them.

The teacher put cardboard around my students desk for extended periods of time as an isolation method. When I asked about it, the teacher and school denied it and the cardboard disappeared. It is against school policy to allow parents to shadow the classroom. This policy should be a huge red flag to parents. I wish I would have taken the negative reviews that I read more seriously before enrolling my student. If I could put zero stars I would. The campus is amazing but otherwise from the top down this school has problems.

Lack of leadership and communication. Our student came home with complaints that we didn’t take seriously enough. When we started to hear other classmates confirm our students stories we were disappointed that we didn’t do something sooner. This school is not what they advertise themselves to be. Unfortunately I can not recommend Tate’s.

We have three children attending Tate’s School, spanning first grade through middle school. Tate’s is a unique place of love and learning, truly a class of its own. Tate’s is a place where we feel that the teachers know and truly care for our family. Tate’s provides the necessary resources and tools to teach our children the fundamentals combined with just the right amount of difficulty to motivate and challenge them. For example, when our youngest daughter came to Tate’s in first grade she was starting to learn how to blend letter sounds and read phonetically. By the 2nd grade, she was reading on a 4th grade reading level, getting fantastic marks on her spelling tests and absolutely loved going to school each day. Not only are we impressed by our children’s educational and emotional growth and development, at Tate’s our children are taught non-academic lessons such as life skills, civility and character building. Tate’s provides a more in-depth experience of how to overcome adversity, a much needed skill. At Tate’s, we are no longer concerned that our children may miss the basics of a new concept being taught or fall behind due to an exorbitant amount of emphasis placed on the results of a standardized test. At Tate’s we can rest assured that its staff, teachers and leadership are intentionally striving to gain a better understanding of each of our children individually and actively partnering with us as parents to provide additional opportunities to ensure maximum growth for our children. Tate’s ability to utilize this customized approach is largely attributed to its smaller class sizes and top -notch educators and enrichment programs. Tate’s has been an incredible experience for our family. Each year, we are in awe as our children fully immerse themselves in sports, performing arts, choir and science fairs all while having the freedom of hands on outdoor learning. Each day our family reflects on how blessed we are to have found such a beautiful environment where our children are thriving.

We found Tate's through a recommendation of a friend. From the moment we stepped onto the Farm, I was hooked. The tour was incredible, sightful, fun, and impressive, but what's even more impressive is that after spending their first year there, all four of my children who attend there LOVE their school! Choosing the right education route for families is so personal and a challenge: we've done it all, homeschool, public, and private and with Tate's, we don't have to compromise on anything that matters most to us.
