My son has gone to this school for all his middle school years. Even though this review is late, since he graduated last year but if I were to say, the school is doing well in their efforts to improving. The opportunities in this school are decently large, most of my son's teachers were decent or good, but some were ignorant to certain issues. If your child is into sports, this is a great school for it, they have lots of different teams including both genders. The only issue in this school is the fights, which is primarily the reason the school is considered "bad". If you're able to get over that fact, this school isn't a bad option if you live in this area for your child.

I've been to Discovery a few years ago and to be honest, it was alright... I had some good teachers and I sometimes talk to them! But fights happened all the time!! And the students at the school would pick fights with even teachers and nothing gets done about it... Just take this as a risk and think about sending your kid here.

This school is garbage!!! My child was not safe there. The bullying and harassment between students is disgusting. The schools attitude towards it nonchalant and uncaring. There was little to no communication between myself and teachers. Non of the teachers responded to my emails. It took me calling the school superintendent to get a response from someone at the school. Beware of this school! Find a decent charter school and stay away from discovery.

So far this has been the worst school ever that my kids had to go to! Thank God my son is going to high school next semester! Too many bad experiences and no one to blame! Noone took responsibility! Horrible don't put your kid in this school.

The administration of this school is the worst. I have had three children attend this school. I have nothing positive to say. They are the most incompetent people I have ever encountered. If you plan on moving into this school district, think twice your child's future may be at jepardy.

The school is showing more parent and community involvement. There are additional elements such as STEM being added yearly.

This school tries really hard to meet the needs of its students. This school may have had issues several years ago, but it has definitely improved under the new principal.

Frustrated with this school . My kid was threatened by his teacher , this I will follow up with. Seem to have a hard time getting good teachers and retaining them. Support staff are not very supportive. This school will always remain below par unless some major changes are implemented and good teachers are retained

bad school, horrible staff, the principal has a bad attitude, and some teachers dont even respond to the parents calls, I had a meeting with them and one of the teachers even lied about trying to get in touch with the parent, very unethical behavior to say the least.

The advanced kids are not tested through the curriculum but the other children love attending thins school.

This school I don't give it a rate I would give it a zero my kids attend this ans my nephew which one of my kids is autistic and he got jump by a 14 year old child my son got concussion on the head and two permanent teeth were knocked that day one of the staff that works there try to wash his hand saying that he was there all the time and the incident like he called it did not happened in school grounds but the police was able to see the blood stain and the two teeth right next to one of the classroom where it happened so the staff was lying making excuses that he was the last one to leave. And my nephew got beat up as well, and when his mother went to the school and complain about the bullying they didn't even listen to her cause it happened out of school grounds but the bullying started in the classroom, my older son also some other kids are threatening that they gonna jump him and serious threats to him this is not a safe environmental school for our children's. I give this school a BIG FAT ZERO. I'm not mentioning name of no one I'm respecting the guidelines.

This is my first year at Discovery Intermediate School and so far the teachers are very nice and explains things that you don't understand wonderfully.

i love this school it's the best and i spent 2 years there and i will now b going 2 it for my 3rd year for 8th grade.....even though they don't hve tht much activities u can recomend an activity and they acually take it 2 heart...so all u haters needs 2 get ur facts right :-D

the school is terrible, they lack alot of things and they can't discipline right, they need help HONESTLY! Don't go to that school, you will feel miserable.
