Terrible! Everything about this school is a nightmare! My daughter attended 11 yrs finally her senior yr she decided to leave thank god for that! Don’t waste your money trust me!

Our Son began his high school career at Sacred Heart. We are not a Catholic family and he had only been in public school prior to entering the 9th grade. We were not sure what to expect. Sacred Heart High School has not only met our expectations, it has exceeded them! The teachers are tough, yet caring. There is quite a bit of individual instruction. They take time to meet with students regularly outside of the classroom. The administration is efficient and quite capable. The small class size has given our son a real sense of community. All of the varsity sports are available to him and his high school experience (as we are entering into his final few semesters before graduation) has been challenging, rewarding and full of wonderful memories. We cannot say enough about this fabulous school.

Our overall experience at Sacred Heart has been outstanding. We are very fortunate we were able to send our daughter to this school.

I switched from duxbury middle school to sacred heart in 7th grade. they tell you that the teachers care about you and will push you and make sure you succeed but this isn't true. many teachers are pushovers and don't care if you do your work. many teachers don't even teach and the science department is a joke. everyone in my 8th grade honor class was completely confused due to the fact that our own teacher had admitted to us that he didn't know what he was teaching us either. sports are absolutely a joke. horrible coaches and uniforms. more kids do drugs then those who don't and there is an endless amount of drama. it is very hard to meet a ton of friends here considering there is about 50 kids in each grade. i met some of my best friends here however we all left this school for different high schools. no one really wants to stay at sacred heart. honestly its like a mediocre public school with uniforms and religion class

I have to disagree with the comment about bullying and teacher favoritism wholeheartedly. my children switch the Sacred heart from the public schools for many reasons, one of them is my oldest was being bullied in the public school. we were worried about them starting a new school they have not attended since 1st grade. would they fit in and be welcomed? the answer was a huge YES!!! children and teaches went out of their way to make them welcome and I have never seen a hint of bullying in either of my children's grades. faster than I had ever imagined, they made wonderful friends and felt completely at home. Scared Heart is a blessing for my family and we are grateful!

This school has great kids and wonderful teachers. We are friendly and welcoming to everyone. Our buildings are in tip top shape and we all try to respect the great school we have. Classes are quietly attentive and the students really want to learn. This is my take on Sacred Heart School. And I love teaching there.

This school needs major improvement on how to handle bullying!! Terrible things have happened with zero consequences. It is sad to have to write this but I hope that other parents understand that this should not be happening and would not be happening at any other schools. My son has not had a good experience with the teacher's favoritsm either.

Sacred Heart is a great school and we are thrilled with our child's experience at SHHS. The academics are both challenging and thought provoking, giving our child an enlightening learning environment. The faculty at Sacred Heart truly cares about the students and their success in and out of the classroom. Sacred Heart High School provides not only a great academic environment but also a great social environment as well. Sacred Heart is well worth it and the tuition is far less than other schools.

The school is very below average.I feel bad for these other parents ,they think they are doing something special for there kids.ANYONE can get in if you can pay ,,,your not special. We went back to Duxbury in the 9th grade because the school is just dated ,older teacher,older building .No sports ,below standard academics.What are you getting for your money? just the fantasy( you are in some elite private school)...Your not! .My other son just started at Tabor/expensive,but its the real thing .My daughter decided to stay in Duxbury High (25th in the State for overall excellence).You are better off moving to a town with great schools than spending money here,The middle school staff is really the worst I have ever seen ..particularly the guidance or lack there of. They have a serious funding problem and those horrible nuns from the dark ages are allowed to hurt your kids with cruelty now (all though I bet they still wish they could thrash you) like the good old days! LOL.

My sons have attended Sacred heart since kindergarten. It is the best value for a private school education in Massachusetts. I attended St. Johns Preparatory School, and Sacred Heart compares very well academically to St Johns Prep at a more affordable price.

My daughter transferred here from a public high school and we are very happy to have made the move! The academics are top-notch...she is challenged every day and loves being in school with like-minded students. The students and teachers have been very welcoming and supportive. The school provides many opportunities throughout the day for additional help when needed. In fact, a half-hour tutorial is built into the day to encourage students to meet with teachers. There is a new president overseeing all of the Sacred Heart Schools. She is dynamic and really making positive change. She is a good listener and welcomes parent input. In fact, she just sent out a survey asking for feedback. If parents have issues, they can bring them to the president for resolution. The facilities at the school are very well-kept, technology upgrades are taking place, and investments in the sports programs are being made. This is a school that has good things happening to it. People should feel good that, if they send their children there, they will receive an excellent education that will prepare them well for college and the real world.

This bad reviews make me so sad because they are all true-I knew We would leave to go to BC high ,but I was glad to get my boys out off there we just hated the elderly teachers and the nuns are just terrible.One day my son was yelled at for a small uniform problem,These women seem to enjoy it! My husband said They were just like the nuns in his childhood that hit and scared him daily.

My daughter attends Sacred Heart as a freshman and she has loved every minute of this year! It is definitely academically challenging but as a new student the other kids have welcomed her and have encouraged her.She has done 2 seasons of sports and liked her coaches very much and they have been very supportive of her! I have only great things to say about the school .Teachers will stay after if your child has questions and they want your child to succeed!!I am very happy with our decision to attend Sacred Heart High School.

this school is a complete waste of money .The staff in the middle school is awful!!! They didnt even tell us till 2 days before school opened that we were accepted even though we went to the lower school for years they "lost"our info.Then your 7th grader has to go to school with all the High school students that pick on them .I almost forgot the the teachers are rude and thoughtless-any public school in the area is better I am the 7th parent I know that is leaving.The nuns are also very unkind and should have retired years ago -they dont even like the kids there is alot of yelling

Excellent education provided - if sports is your main concern then this is not the school but if being groomed into an intelligent, compassionate human being is top of your childs list with goals for higher education Sacred Heart is the School to attend.

While I agree that Sacred Heart has never been known for it's athletics, what is learned are the much more important values a child entering the world must have.....respect, honor, work ethic, patience, pride, morals....and personally I believe that actually knowing how to hand write using good old fashioned script is a skill that is lacking nowadays. It has become a lost art in the public schools. SHHS Graduate

The parents in these review are just wishful thinking .I go to this school and it has been a bad year ,no sports and the nuns are older and seem to dislike children my family is going back to Duxbury next year.

I'd just like to say that this school is awful. The teachers do not care about the students at all. The teachers are selfish, hypocritical, and ignorant. They act like they'll be there for you if you are struggling, then when you come to them they act like you are stupid and you are wasting their time. Also, the athletics are a joke. They recently built a new baseball field this past year. They started August of 2009, and did not even finish until June of 2010. There is no football team, due to the lack of effort and willingness to spend a dime on a football stadium. Most of you have probably heard that Sacred Heart is a great school, but let me tell you something: Sacred Heart is absolutely nothing but a reputation. I hope you make the right decision to not attend this private school. It is not worth the money. Thanks for listening.

An ok school teachers are terrible though not they have absolutely the worst sports programs you can think of
