I had a horrible experience. The teachers were bias and the vice principal was very rude and took everything way too serious. The dress code is extremely sexest. Please, do not send your children here, this is a plea from a former student

Do your homework before sending your special needs child here as they will be excluded from many things. They are very worried about appearance and cater to students who excell in performing arts and sports.

Good on paper, but inside is not actually a particularly good school. My child exited 8th grade without knowing how write an actual 'paper' with cited sources, a works cited page, MLA format, etc., nor was he instructed on grammar outside the basics, like nouns and verbs. He seemingly spent the entire year in language arts making posters, writing poems, and writing 'stories'. I'm not sure he read a single piece of quality literature, either. Completely inappropriate for middle schoolers - they should not be doing this stuff as freshmen for the first time ever. I do think the teachers and principal here are very nice, well-meaning people. My son will remember them fondly for being positive role-models and great mentors. However, the instructional methods and curriculum need to change for this to be an effective school. Less fluff would be an excellent way to begin.
