I found a very rigorous math sequence, w/ Algebra 8th grd, permits students to study AP Calculus AB & BC or Calculus in 12th gr. College prep math sequence Math Analysis 12th grd. Students can have courses in both sequences. AP Statistics is an elective choice if completed Algebra II. Science sequence Earth & Space ,Biology10th,Chemistry11th, Physics12th. Honors in each curricula are more rigorous & designed to challenge academically motivated, high-achieving students. AP Physics fulfill the 12th grade requirements. Students may elect AP Biology, AP Chemistry, or AP Computer Science. Students can enroll in 2 science courses in the same year. AP courses are available: English Literature & Composition, United States History, Government &Politics: US, European History, Biology, Chemistry, Physics C: Mechanics, Music Theory, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Statistics, Computer Science A, French, German, Latin: Vergil, Spanish. Languages SPanish, French, Spanish, Latin, & German. languages are only Honors level or AP. Students must take 2 years of a foreign language to graduate along w/ 40 hrs of community service. many clubs, various sports, great student body & well educated staff.

Since moved to this area in 2007, I had a kid in elementary school and two in middle school. Now I have two in High School and the quality progressed as they move from Elementary to Middle and now High School. Great Schools. I did some research before I decided to buy a house in Landenberg, the property taxes and houses are cheaper than the district close to Kennett. I bought the house that the same one in that district would have been 25% more and the taxes the same. The difference in cost doesn't justify to pay more. KHS facilities are new and nice, I don't see trailers as much as the other district. The teachers are tough and good, they have lots of AP, Honor and electives, and they will offer engineering classes as well.
