Kearns High does not deal with bullies correctly they give them chance after chance. This person has been bullying someone for the last year and has put their hands on them at least twice with video proof from other kids. They have also posted on multiple social media platforms about this kid started rumors and even spray painted the victims number at the tracks with a sexual slur. They also posted a video of themselves doing this. They have posted videos of them selfs doing drugs and smoking in the bathrooms at school and they continue to get away with it. Some of the things they have done are considered hate crimes. I thought Kearns high and the entire granite district have 0 tolerance on bullies. Also they didn't give any notice to the victim that the bully was coming back to school and when asked why Mr. Smith said they didn't have to. That it was a courtesy that he even told the parents the day of. Yet in most cases when someone is assaulted and the attacker is detained they always tell the victim that they are being released so they can do stuff to keep themselves safe. Apparently school staff doesn't believe in this. This girl has attacked other people and brags about it on social media showing her bloody knuckles. She shows no remorse at all and by anyone's guess that she will continue to terrorize anyone who's different from her.

Watched as my child’s mental health degraded. Due to a discriminatory coach and bullying teacher! Nothing was ever done, I have all documented proof. I will never recommend this school to anyone!!

Kearns High is a very welcoming school. The teachers are very kind and it's hard to dislike them. Many of the teachers actually went to Kearns High then came back to teach there! We have several clubs that are inclusive to everyone, several sports to enjoy, and we're one of the only high schools in Granite School District to have Latin as a class. My entire experience at Kearns has been fantastic and I couldn't of asked for a better school to have gone too. Unfortunately we are looked down upon by other school's student bodies sometimes but what can you say! The opportunities are amazing, in fact I've taken a college level class AP or Concurrent Enrollment every year at the high school and was nearly able to graduate early just because I picked a few of their classes like Sec 2&3 mixed. It's a really fun school, easy to love, easy to learn at times, and filled with good memories. I won't say it's perfect, because it's not. However it doesn't need to be for it to be a good place to go.My one and only remaining problem with this school is that most of the teachers have to do PBG grading and that is the worst grading method I have ever encountered in all of my life.

I went to this school for my Sophomore and Junior year. I left for my Senior year only because my parents moved. So I am somewhat impartial, having the experience of high school from two different high schools. Kearns High School is a terrible school. Most of the problems come from the low income town it resides in. The best way to describe the culture is one of lifelong mediocrity. The bar is set pretty low at Kearns High School. Most students don't care at all, and most teachers don't either. Most teachers lack passion for their work, and some are downright terrible. The bright students and good teachers swim against the current at this school. The bright and thriving culture that does exist among students at this school is violence, fighting, drugs, alcohol, and promiscuity. This is not a school were academics are king. Academic excellence will be an uphill battle.

Kearns high school has some really good teachers but other teachers who are not effective. I am an alumni who wanted to be productive in classes and many classes the teachers just let us do whatever we wanted. There were no lesson plans or learning. There were some really good teachers who allowed me to really expand my knowledge as well as encouraged me to develop myself. These teachers were

I graduated from here about 7 years ago. I was in AP classes however my brother, who graduated a year before me, wasn't. As a result I saw two different sides to the school. All of the money they get goes to improving the education the advanced kids get. While those that are behind drift farther behind. If you can get into advanced classes you'll be alright here. If you can't all you'll get is farther behind.

Do not send your child to this school!!!!! Staff at this school takes nothing at great importance. When my child was bullied and went in to report it she was told she was acting like a jr high student and that they had no time for it!!!GREAT HELP!!! And the ipod that each child is required to have to do school work is highly over rated! Be sure your child does not break that ipod cause its worse then going to the dentist to get that thing released from the school to be repaired!!!!! GLAD THAT MY CHILD WILL NOT BE GOING HERE NEXT YEAR!!!!SILLY SILLY SCHOOL!!!!!
