    Unfortunately, Mark Twain falls under bad leadership. The school is poorly organized, poorly run, and chaotic. The school lacks resources to make a meaningful impact on the students it serves.

    My son currently attends this school and is in the special education portion which I find beyond wonderful. He has 6 amazing teachers that help him in different areas of learning which I've found to help him very much. The class dojo app is a great way we all communicate and keeps the parents very in touch with what's going on in and outside of class. The community is very involved with the school and the teachers are very hands on and my son has learnes so much from this school. We moved from Springfield Illinois where I thought that school district was better but it wasn't. I was getting call after call every day and coming to kanakakee it has completely changed. Not one call or many conferences.nothing but progress and they also help with bullying and getting things settled right away. Great school for small area
