Could not agree more with the other comments regarding the principal. Very controlling and manipulative. Potential teachers looking at teaching here should stay away. Anyone looking to move here, look in other districts! Principal tries to control the narrative of what’s going on within the school, but everyone knows. She targets specific students and does not give them the resources and help they need. Instead, she tells parents the child is the problem and refuses to look in the mirror and does not seek solutions to help students. She’s ruined the experience for many students, who now dread going to school and think they are the problem. Terrible leadership that is somehow able to get away with it. It must stop!

Great school in a supportive community in east side of the valley. Attentive to questions and concerns, playground needs upgrade.

Great, safe school tucked up against the beautiful mountains.

Students are targeted at Cayuse by the Principal and her administration. They’re put under constant stress with the rules that only apply to some of the students, bullying is out of control and faculty turns a blind eye to the offenders, while punishing the victims. It’s the most toxic environment I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

An excellent country school that reminds me of the way public elementary "used to be": actual class activities beyond the books, teachers who become friends with their classes, Montana field-trips the kids enjoy, no toleration for bullying, etc. Both of our kids went through Cayuse from K through 8th and we have no regrets. As for the two one star reviews here, let's take a look. One is from a "Parent/Guardian" who couldn't be bothered to proof-read even the first 3 words of their review (or spot a run-on) and is purely fixated on dress code. The other from a disgruntled, self-described ex-student posting as a "Parent/Guardian". I'd suggest that if you identify with either of those categories, Cayuse probably isn't for you.

My son goes here and i could not ask for a better school for him. The staff, his teacher, the principal have all been absolutely wonderful and i love the small environment. Absolutely amazing!

I had bury my kids go here for years and this is a horrible school, let’s start out with dress code for girl if you decide to wear leggings your shirt has to come at least 3 inches below your knees that also goes for shorts dresses and or skirts. So all goes got either do PE in sweatpants and get extremely hot or do in jeans which we all know is a struggle . There is way to much bullying to and if you go to the teachers they couldn’t care less.
