It’s a great school. Teachers and staff are very dedicated and go above and beyond their duties. Kids feel safe.

We highly recommend that you check out St. Augustine Cathedral School! We have had 4 children graduate from St. Augustine and currently have primary and middle school students at the school. The principal and school staff have high standards in education but also Instill faith and values. There is a strong community within our school; there is something very special here. This school is accessible for all families as tuition is scaled for family income and tuition assistance is available. The staff has your child's academic and character development at heart and focuses on lifting everyone up. During this pandemic school year 20-21; the school overcame challenges to provide a successful classroom learning experience. St. Augustine Cathedral School staff work so hard to maintain a safe environment with high academic standards.

This school is awesome! We moved from another state and we were not sure whether our children will settle in well. The teachers and everyone made us feel welcome. They adjusted in no time because of the love and genuine care that they experienced. I am thankful to God for directing us to St . Augustine’s Cathedral school. My daughter has had an AMAZING experience. She is graduating 8th grade and is very thankful for the academics- the teachers, the principal, the entire staff and love in action that is felt and shown.

St. Augustine Cathedral School only gets better with every year. We have older children that went through St. A and again with our youngest, starting with the preschool and now is elementary school age. Now and years ago, the comments from our older children express that St. A is “home”. Our youngest says she loves her school! The teachers, staff, and principal are always there for their students and families spiritually and providing a high level of education. We wouldn’t have sent/send our children anywhere else!

A wonderful school community that nurtures both academic and spiritual knowledge.

My husband and I arrived at St. A's two years ago. In retrospect, I wish we made the decision to transfer schools much earlier for our oldest who is now in HS, and our middle child who arrived at St. A's in 7th grade. There is a culture of high expectations for students. Our family has felt very welcomed into the tight-knit community since before our boys stepped foot into the school for the first time. I would recommend the school to others!

We love this school. Small class sizes, fantastic teachers. High expectations and morals. Our daughter has thrived the past 4 years.

St. Augustine Cathedral School has been so amazing for our kids. We have had two kids attend preschool at ages 3 and 4, and our oldest is finishing up his Kindergarten year. Their teachers have been absolute angels, let’s be honest with a classroom full of young kids you almost have to be heaven sent. My daughter is finishing her last year of preschool eager to read, sounding out words everywhere we go!Even in the midst of a pandemic this school has put our children’s safety and growth in knowledge at top priority. We have transitioned from school to home, and back to school again so smoothly knowing our kids are in the best of hands.St. Augustine has been such a blessing to our family and we consider ourselves lucky to be able to send our children here!

We are just completing our second school year at St. Augustine and are enrolled for next year as well. We have been very happy, the staff and teachers are very caring and have gone out of their way to help us whenever needed. The location is good for us also!

Our experience at St. Augustine Cathedral School has been outstanding. The teachers, staff, and administrators are beyond exceptional. They are organized, attentive to the students, easy to communicate with, and a blessing to many families. The pandemic has only solidified our belief that this is the best school for our family. From the beginning, when the school quickly reorganized to move to online learning within days of the shutdown to operating in-person learning for the entirety of the 2020-2021 school year, their careful attention to safety, communication, and high standards have been impressive and appreciated. As a private, Catholic school spanning from preschool through eighth grade, St. A's truly creates a family environment that provides our daughter the best possible educational experience. We love the school so much!

This is so much more than a school. It is a community of teachers, staff and families providing the highest quality education for our children. We have had four students attend St. Augustine's beginning with three-year old preschool. The teachers have been very responsive and supportive of our students through struggles and successes.

This school is such a blessing for our family. The principal takes time to listen to you, and all the teachers that our kids had so far (from preschool) are all very attentive and they truly know our kids personally. The teachers are also willing to do extra stuff to help or to take the kids' growth even further. The community is very welcoming and supportive parents can be found everywhere. It's an amazing feeling when you saw the principal greet your kids every day by name, and the staff takes really good care of them, too. Not only that St. A build our kids' character, by having virtues and service to others emphasized all the time. Our family's prayer life has been better because of the school.

I have had 3 children attend St. Augustine, starting in Preschool. We loved the preschool program, and found that the school community felt like a family. The academics were challenging, and the teachers were very concerned about each child’s progress. The middle school program was excellent preparation for high school. Highly recommend!

Our children have grown so much, academically and spiritually, by attending St. A. The teachers truly cares about their development, and the staff and parents are nothing but supportive. It's truly an environment where you can feel the presence of God. We are truly blessed and grateful to find this school (and community!) for our kids.

My son was having severe reading problems in 1st grade at a local public school that wouldn't give him the help he needed (their solutions: an angry, easily frustrated tutor and a teacher that was singularly focused on flunking him less than 2 months into the school year), so I switched him into St. Augustine and within a few months he had his confidence back and was making real progress at overcoming his issue. The principal, teachers, staff, and other students & their families are very caring and supportive. I am so impressed with the level of quality care and education that my son is receiving. My son will be starting his 5th year there this fall. I adore St. Augustine school and absolutely agree with the GS rating of 10!

For our family, it's not about the numbers. It's about how we FEEL being at St. A. For us, it isn't the high test scores, the School of Distinction status, or other things that do truly set this school apart. Two of our children have been at St. A since Kindergarten, and they're now in 5th & 7th grades. We also have a child who didn't flourish at two other private schools, but when put into the loving environment of St. A., has really surprised every one of us with his growth and accomplishments. There is something about this school that can't be expressed with words. When you attend this school, you just feel like you're home.

St. As is a wonderful school, focused on development of the whole child - values, spiritual, academics, family, athletics, service and more. We can't say enough positive things about the quality, dedication and love of the teachers, school leadership and parents - all focused on creating the best school we can be. Every day is a blessing to have our children attend St. As in a warm, diverse, open environment. With leading test scores in our area, a growing enrollment, and when it's all combined with faithful, value driven learning, it's a wonderful place for our kids.

If you want your child to face punishment at every turn and you value rote memorization and deficit-based thinking, this is the school for you! The principal is anti-parent and anti-child. Most of the teachers are inept. There is no value placed on any facet of a child that does not translate into a high test grade. There are no accommodations made for children with learning challenges. If you value education and you love your child, stay away!

Our family came to St. Augustine when St. Joseph closed. We were apprehensive at first, but soon found it to be just as amazing as St. Joseph. We have one graduate from St. Augustine, one current and one just starting pre-school. The teachers and faculty are amazing and represent the true Catholic values we expect as parents every day. Our children are treated as individuals who learn in their own way, even with learning disabilities, and are valued members of the school. The teachers and faculty treat each child as one of their own. We originally came from the Comstock school district and were very disappointed with the lack of structure and the treatment of all the students. We left at 3rd grade. We have been very happy with the Catholic schools of Kalamazoo and would recommend them to anyone looking for individual, loving attention to teaching our children to be loving and productive members of our great society. As for the post that said the school is about booze guzzling socialites, I say the parent did not get involved with the school. It is a positive and loving environment any child would be lucky to attend.

St. A's amazes me every day. The teachers are amazing and the leadership is out of this world fantastic. Andra Zomers greets each and every student every single morning as they walk into the building, can't say that for any public school!
