The school was an absolute nightmare for kids and parents when Rupprecht was vice principal but now that she's gone the school is absolutely amazing and I love it for my daughter however the school she got moved to Carter lake is now a nightmare which my other kids go to.

Fire the principal who creates a toxic environment and get some new blood. There's a reason the turnover rate is so high in this school and it's not the students.

With the year of COVID restrictions - the staff have made students feel welcomed and safe. The kids had good opportunity to learn just needed to be at school more often. Can't wait until next year when they are at school all day every day.

Overall experience at this school has been great.

Horrible. They need more teachers, more paras to help in classrooms, smaller classrooms, and more exposure to general education peers for those with disabilities or special needs.

My boys have gone to this school for 3 years and I couldn't be happier. Mrs. Wimberly is the most amazing teacher I have ever encountered, she goes above and beyond for her students!

I sent my son to Kindergarten here for 3 weeks and pulled him out, sucked it up, and paid the money for a wonderful private school in Tacoma. I know this is not an option for many families, and I felt so sad for the other students who had no other choice than to attend here. I was pretty sad for my own son that his first experience of "Kindergarten" was such an awful one. There were something like 30 kids in his class - way too many 5-year-olds for one teacher to manage. The teacher was nice but she had hearing problems and could barely understand the kids. Open House night before school started was a huge, unorganized mess, which seemed like in general the school was like. I feel like schools for the military children should offer the very best, and it's awful that this is often not the case and they cannot even get adequate number of teachers, or decent teachers, to be employed at their schools. After 9 years in the Army, we've seen that this is often the case with schools on base.

What kind of principle accepts a 3 star rating for his or her school? The principle, the vice principle, the librarian, the music teacher and the cafeteria staff are not only rude and cruel. There are serious cases of bullying that go ignored. The music teacher has actually bullied a child. The students in computer are told to put their head down on the desk if they have a questions. The science fair was open only to those students in the remedial science class. The academic expectations are reflected in the low test scores. This school is not only for children who have learning disabilities as you may think. The test scores reflect the quality of the teachers and the expectations set forth by the administration. It is not OK to provide children of military families with substandard education There is only one school on base rated 8 stars and you cannot attend unless you are part of that district. All children should have the opportunity to get a good education. If you have any hope for your child to go to college, be prepared to supplement heavily at home. This year is disaster. The moral is very low and I cannot understand how all this is allowed to go on.

The staff are rude up front. They ignore you. The school is unorganized PTA is a group of clicks if you try to volunteer they refuse. The self contained classroom is a joke my kid need to be in a regular classroom but they refused. They failed to show up for their own IEP meeting. Even after contacting district they refused to follow the request. The teachers will not stay after school to talk to you they are rushing to their cars 10 minutes after the school is out. There is a huge issue with bullying in and around the school and the school tells you its not their issue. Parent pick up is nice so you don't have to get out but wish they would stack it by grade level. Horrible school horrible experience was happy to move to new school.

My son attended this school for 3 years. I loved his two years of him being there. After was bullied by a child his third year who legal reasons I can not say anything.I think this school had a horrible excuse for a "bully program" that is suppose to be in order I see it all over the news to protect children. The child is still in the school I have been mistreated by the staff who handled this, and seem like they are uneducated. Who knows how many kids this has happened to. I have to remove child since the bullying was so severe child would get sick in school. I feel like he was swept under the rug.

Great school! The best on post school we have been to! Mrs. Coberly my sons 1st grade teacher was amazing, very patient, and kid friendly. The speech therapist was great with my 3 year old that qualified for school therapy. And The front office staff is the best and is always there with accurate information! And my son wants me to say that the karate offered after school is really fun!
