Extremely disappointed with the environment at this school. The excessive pressure placed on students is overwhelming and seems to prioritize grades over actual learning and well-being. The constant stress and unrealistic expectations are taking a toll on students' mental health, making the school experience more of a burden than a joy. Despite repeated concerns from parents and students, the administration appears indifferent to the negative impact this pressure is causing. I would not recommend this school to anyone looking for a balanced and supportive educational environment.

I am writing the review I'd wish I'd had for myself before I enrolled my child here. Brass tacks:This school is a disaster. We pulled our kid out (despite earning solid As) because as a school it failed on nearly every measure other than "high test scores". If you're a parent considering this school, then be forewarned: that this school is lauded as "a school with high test scores" reflects less on the school and more on the simple policy: this is a public, magnet middle school within a system that tracks high performing kids through specific pathways, Infinity as one of them, and Infinity is allowed to *remove any students who do not have high test scores.* This by definition creates a school with...high test scores. It's not that complicated to see why it has high test scores given this policy. It becomes logical and self-fulfilling. As a former parent, I'll share there is nothing exceptional about high test scores given this paradigm. What is much more important to evaluate is how the school supports the kids - and helps them grow as individuals - in domains OTHER THAN testing. And this is where the school falls short on every measure, in our experience. The school:- did NOT have enough counselors to support kids who experienced bullying, emotional distress, regular stress, etc- did NOT have teachers who could pick up on kids treating other kids with disrespect. - did NOT have competent administrators with good communication skills- did NOT have a good school climate (everything was about testing...there was little to no space for social, emotional, team-building, etc)Research beyond the "high test scores".

Terribly bad. Teachers dont teach well (some dont even regularly show up) and all they do is to give homework even on weekends. Have caused students to have mental breakdown yet administrators dont seem to care. If you want your kids to grow up as positive learners and have a fruitful highschool please dont bring them here. I should have listened to previous reviews or students who left early on. It is just so sad that they advertise such high rating but in reality the school is very very bad.

Teachers are very bad, and many are not even teaching the kids correctly. Too much work and high expectations can and are causing man kids in the school to stress. Ever since they got a higher score in the past from Mc Nair, the principal and the vice principal have been trying so hard to keep their reputation high. Many kids are becoming stressed out over the work, and the overall care for the kids is not enough. Rather than caring for your reputation of being "a best school", try to start caring more about the students mental health issues and how high amounts fo pressure can mess up their lives real bad

I heard from my child that the school had a bunch of instects everywhere and one day they were fed infested strawberries. And the teachers put to much work on the kids. And the vice princable treated the freshmans terrible.

this school is really bad. The teachers constantly are disrespectful to students but then expect respect from us in return, it makes no sense. There's no outdoors, no time for talking, small building, students constantly get bashed by staff members, its actually crazy.

Unfortunately, very disappointed with the school and will transfer my child to another high school. Short-staffed both on administrative and teaching staff. Some teachers have hundreds of students to teach and don't have enough capacity to adequately teach the curriculum. Some teachers are hard graders to the extreme that your child's GPA can be dragged down only because he/she was absent from class and was unaware of the assignment that was done. Grading for projects/quizzes/tests etc comes in very late so you have no idea of your child's progress during the marking period. I do want to mention, that my child's Biology teacher was wonderful, and some other teachers/staffs work very hard to make the school a good environment for the students. These are personal opinions, it may just be that the school was not a good fit for my child.

Like the academic rigor, hate the lack of humanity; the Principal is very responsive to parents' requests but not very informative or reassuring. The organization's culture seems to be very stiff and cold. School communications to parents are poor. They over recruited in the 2019-2020 school year so the school is overwhelmed by the current 6th grade. There is literally no one-on-one time with any teacher. It's frustrating.

They keep the same principals in terms of education, this school is not easy and many students tend to complain about homework (Keep in mind this generation has - Internet and more resources to do research) This school prepares you on what you will face in Ivy league college and the ability to multi-task.

Every since they scored higher than Mcnair on the PARCC test, they started to try too hard to become better than mcnair. If you want your child to have a really bad GPA this school is excellent for that. Many people transferred out just to save their GPA. I see my fellow classmates shaking in fear every test since most of the teachers cannot teach and are very unprofessional. Sleep is also a luxury us students do not get because our teachers are so inconsiderate that they drown us with work and when you inform them in a respectful manner that you did not do it they tell you to transfer. Theres only about a handful of teachers that are so caring and nice. Students are developing anxiety and depression because of this school and because of some of the teachers. This is a terrible school it was better last year and as a junior, i see the terrible changes at this school.

Terrible. The principal do not care for the students unless they are seniors. The only disciplinary actions that can be done to other students is by Saturday Detention, regardless of levels of actions. Detentions after school is not possible after school due to the fact that this school lacks everything. These actions does not follow the Code of Conduct and shows how incompetent the principal is, as the staff should abide by their own conduct just as we, the students, adhere to it. Do not come to this school, others have more resources to use to teach students than this one.

I went to Infinity for two years and it is very strict and if you're going to highschool with plans of joking around then this school isn't for you. The education is excellent and you leave well prepared for college and for life. I didn't realize this until i transferred out and compared this school to my new school and my advanced preparation to those of other students. They give you a very personalized one on one attention and make sure you are entirely focused. If you're are truly serious about your education and ready to be a full time student then this is the school for you.

I absolutely love the education my child is getting at this school, the school has many programs that get the parents involved. For example I previously attended the Alzheimer's charity walk with the school and it was a blast. I encourage all parents to try to enroll their child
