The detention room is DANGEROUSLY SMALL and can pose a threat. Students have to sit in a tiny tiny room. I had a meeting with the Principal and Vice Principal and they assured me that they were not going to change it. I did not like ANY OF THE TEACHERS. One in particular mentioned how my son had a bad grade in front of the class!!!! THIS IS A BAD BAD SCHOOL.

Jefferson High School outperforms area schools in many aspects whether it be athletics, academics, college prep or a variety of other things. More importantly though, the staff truly care about the students and give students many opportunities to shine in different aspects of their school career. There are clubs for all tastes, academic help available for students, counselors available, great coaches and so much more. I would recommend Jefferson High School and am very happy here.

I have had mostly good experiences with the Jefferson Schools. We moved to Jefferson in 2006. My kids went to grade school, middle school, and now my oldest is in high school. The band teachers are excellent and all of the teachers are committed and put in so much time I sometimes wonder how they have any time for themselves. My kids have a lot of opportunities to participate in band, sports, clubs, etc. The middle school principal who is now the high school principal seems to be genuinely committed to doing forward thinking and how to be not just good, but great. There has only been a couple of teachers that I haven't really cared for and I have 3 kids so there have been a lot of teachers along the way. I do recommend Jefferson Schools thus far as my experiences go. If anything changes I'll have to retract my glowing review. I have nothing but respect for those teachers who give so much to my and others children.

A joke of a school, Administration and the district cares nothing for it's faculty and staff, and especially cares nothing for it's students. It's main goal is pumping up numbers for open enrollment to secure more money. If you live in Jefferson and your child attends this school you have my sympathies.

Thanks to the community voting 'yes' on the school referendum, the high school will have much needed upgrades.
