i had issues with an assistent that works in the lunch room to supervise students naned maria she was a bit unprofessional telling students to "shut up" also would make my daughter cry at times.. i addressed this issue with the principle and she took care of it promptly. the problems there stopped. i love mrs wood she is fantastic all kids love her. my daughter struggles with math but has great teachers who are patient with her and really try hard to work with her and her needs. mrs karr and smith smith are amoung my lists of great teachers as well. there are sometimes issues with bullying that we have with one student in my daughters 6th grade class but that has followed her over from franklin since 4th grade teachers are good at listening to my long vents and keeping an extra eye on on these types of situations and these things will be at all schools no matter where you go.

My son has gone through K-4 at Washington School. I think it's a great school. All of his teachers have been wonderful. The principal, Mary Camerer, is so enthusiastic and charismatic -- the kids love her! The atmosphere at the school is overwhelmingly positive due, in large part, to Ms. Camerer's sunny personality. One of the best things at Washington is something it seems to lack -- bullying! My son is rather shy, and he's never had a problem with more assertive kids "picking on" him.
