This school is bursting with positive energy. Each month they have something special to engage the parents and my child comes home motivated weekly. They are celebrated for every accomplishment and are really doing everything to give the kids a great experience. I love Gregory Drive because they think about the students during holidays and they also help families in need. My child has been at Gregory Drive since Kindergarten and she is so smart! I could have chosen any other school but Gregory Drive has the teachers and culture that works for my child. We will never forget Gregory Drive. This is my child's last year here and I doubt that any other school will make as many memories as the ones made at Gregory Drive.

This has been the worse school ever, I wish I would have stayed in clay county. They don’t have knowledge of IEP and my daughter comes home almost every day because she’s been bullied constantly and her teacher is mean to her. Her teacher constantly messages me saying my daughter this my daughter that. It’s aggravating and then they tell me grades can’t be transferred from county to county. Then tried to get me for truancy when my daughter had strep for 10 days and also got head lice from the school. I even sent in dr. notes and was told it didn’t matter. So they rather my child be at school and spread germs rather then get better and they rather just spread lice than fix the problem.

We had the misfortune of moving to Jacksonville, FL and being in the vicinity of Gregory Drive Elementary--our kids were enrolled by default since the school we prefer which was 20 minutes away is already on full capacity at School Choice. My eldest has mild autism and we brought the medical records needed for him to avail of an IEP program--something this school does not even know how to process and they got the documents etc but did nothing about it. When asked when they will expedite the process, they said to wait until March 2021 which is already more than half of the school year so that would be pointless. I don't know if they just don't have the budget for assisting special kids or if they just refuse to help my child. Moreover, they call us everyday about my son's behavior and how he is having difficulty following rules. They gave kept giving him "referral" and after several of those, my kid will be expelled. It's almost like they are just trying to get rid of the autistic child so they do not have to deal with his condition instead of helping him. Also, my other son has learned to say "sit on your butt, mister!" Because sadly that is the kind of language his kindergarten teacher uses in class. My eldest, meanwhile, has been saying "shut your mouth!" (mimicking his teacher).I will also add how behind their curriculum is. They were teaching Transitional Kindergarten level material to Kindergarteners and Kindergartener curriculum for First Graders. No wonder this school's rating on Greatschools.org is 3/10.

The principal really cares even has her daughter attending. I don’t think the low score is accurate I bought my house about 6 years ago and had my son in a charter school because of local school rating he’s been attending this school for 2 years and loves it. I’ve never had a problem with teachers and principal and teachers communicate a lot through class dojo definitely the principal who is hands on. I would definitely recommend. They also have a lot of things to help kids who are struggling like Saturday tutoring.

My child is in kindergarten, her teacher does not like tattle tales, a child was cussing in the classroom, teacher did nothing. My child had an accident in her clothes and the nurse was out. Yhe office staff "forgot" to call me. She was in the office for 2 hrs or so until I got there to pick her up at the end of the day. She has complained to me of being picked on and the teachers not doing anything! Looking for a private/Christian/home school for the rest of her schooling!!

Gregory Drive has very good and very devoted teachers. That's about all the positive things I can say about it. I've worked there several times as a substitute teacher and the students were quite possibly the worst bunch I've ever had in a class, and that's including my experiences in middle and high school. They were loud, rude, disrespectful to me and each other. I actually had a student come up to me and apologize because his class was "acting like a bunch of animals." Those are his words, not mine. The administration there doesn't seem to think that's a problem. Gregory Drive has a reputation among us subs and it's a very bad one. We tell each other to avoid it. As a parent, you should too.

My son attended Gregory Drive for the past 2 years. He has ADHD and the 2nd grade teacher absolutely refused to work me. She would write his behavior grades in his planner which were usually A, B,C and then put a D or F on his report card EVERY report card. He was bullied everyday by kids in his class and she would never do anything about it. I finally had to go to the principal with the problem when a group of boys attacked my son and left bruises all over his stomach and back. AND still nothing was done. I do not recommend ANYONE to go to this school!!! They refused to allow me to volunteer anywhere in the school even though I have had my volunteer card for 6 years. We are now at another school and ironically do not have ANY of the problems that we had at Gregory Drive.
