I graduated in 2004. My experiences at GCHS prepared me for the outside world and my career in the military. I currently live in a large city in Florida. After graduating from a school like GCHS and living where i'm at now, I think GCHS is a safe and nurturing environment that fosters learning. At most, kids drinking at football games and other adolescent behaviors were the main concern. Compare that to to the Orlando-Orange County public school system with gangs, homicides, and children getting raped in the bathroom. Don't take the faculty, SMALL class sizes ( you don't know crowded until you've lived in a city-100+ kids in a class) or relatively safe location for granted. Every school has its blemishes, but I honestly couldn't have asked for a better high school experience or education.
