Cesar Chavez has a higher academic rigor than most elementary schools in the area. The spanish immersion piece is great but I wish they did more conversational spanish to get non-native spanish speaking kids used to speaking spanish in a non-academic environment. The new principal is superb, the Academic Dean is wonderful, and teachers care. They have great after-school clubs and the best dance program around for elementary kids. Communication is getting better and better but there is always room for improvement. The PTO is highly-involved and all parents are included. My children are excited to go to school and adore their teachers.

We have had a wonderful experience growing with the school as they go into their 5th year as a dual Spanish/English immersion school.

We feel very lucky to have the opportunity for our child to attend this school. The dual Spanish/English Immersion is a very unique model and it has been amazing to see our child advance in reading and language skills for two different languages so quickly. The teachers and staff are attentive and caring, and any issues have been addressed swiftly and appropriately. I look forward to my child continuing to learn and grow in this environment and would highly recommend this school to others!

I have 2 children in this school, grade K and 1st. This is their second year and I feel very happy to have them in this school. The Teachers and supporting staff is very caring and patient with my children. I have a daily report coming home with a open texting, e-mailing, and phone policy. The teachers have done a great deal to help my 1st grader with his learning difficulties. It is a dual Spanish immersion school, which is great! I am happy with staff members and feel comfortable with my children being their everyday!
