The middle school has three separate areas or pods for each grade. 6th through the 8th. I have substituted in all areas of the middle school from 1994 to 2009. I have had five children be promoted from the 8th grade in Huron. This year is special since because I have grandchildren attending Huron Middle School. This school has around 495 students. The expert educator's deserve a big prize. My granddaughter, a sixth grade ws taking remedial classes through out her whole time at her last school. This year she is excited about school and she has made the Honor Roll with all A's and a couple high B's. She is loving all subjects, but to everybody's surprise has won her grades spelling contest and now is matched up with the 7th and 8th graders in her school. She believes she needs to win Regional and State to advance to Washington DC for the National Spelling Bee. If she doesn't make it, it's only because the other students are smarter! We are still proud of this accomplishmen. She has also received recognition from her teachers who nominated her for Student of the Month! Another accomplishment only attained by one of her aunt's who graduated from the school. She is very proud of her own work ethic and motivation to become the best of the best! Like her mother stated, this was my old school. A new school and a new you! That's what she told all of her kid's before school started! Her brother is doing well in the 8th grade with all A's and one B. He didn't make honor roll because he has an assignment that is missing. We hope he gets this solved so he makes the next honor roll. Thank you to all teachers , but especially the middle schools educators!
