My son started attending Covenant Classical Research Park when he was one. We experienced 3 different directors, so I can write an honest review about this school. I was losing faith in the school but they finally got it right by hiring the current Director Paul and the Assistant Ditector Crystal. The current Director and Assistant Director are the kindest individuals and they have completely changed the atmosphere of CCS-RP., are the best!! My son graduated Kindergarten from CCS-RP and we loved his Teacher Ms. TashaBird. My son scored above average on his SAT and he was accepted into the top private school in Huntsville ( my son ranked above average in all areas of his 1st grade evaluations). I highly recommend CCS-RP and I am so thankful they got rid of the bad administration and teachers, because this school is now top notch!

Covenant classical school research park was a great school two years ago, but they seem to be more focused on money than up keeping the Christian ethics. I am not happy with the change in administration or the recent behavior of some of the teachers. At this time I will not recommend this school to anyone or unless some major changes happen internally.

Covenant Classical Research Park location is a great option for preschool but run for the hills when your child reaches kindergarten. The focus of this school is the daycare program and not the elementary program. Ask the two kindergarten teachers who left within the same year and took their own children with them!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE CCS (Research Park Location) ! The learning environment is ABSOLUTELY GREAT! This school is like the HARVARD or YALE for preschools within the Huntsville/Madison Area! Each grade level has great instruction and the classical approach way of teaching has been amazing for my son! We brought him to the school because he wasn't being challenged where he was and within 2 weeks he knew all of his alphabets, vowels and knew what his constants were as well; We have been there about 5 months and he is on his way to reading and he is only 3! The Business aspect is handled properly and that is important also because again this was like our 5th day care and although Christian Daycares are GREAT BUSINESS IS BUSINESS! The teachers are professional and Gossip amongst them with parents is nonexistence. The environment is clean, safe (you have to have codes to get into every door), and overall a joyful atmosphere!

I do NOT recommend CCS, generally and the two in Huntsville, AL, specifically. My child attended Covenant Classical School (CCS) Exchange Place for 1 week in 2011 -- an infant classroom teacher accidentally injured his head that week and let him fall asleep immediately afterwards -- I was not called or notified of the incident until pick up. We removed our 5 mo old infant at the end of the first week. A year later, we enrolled our child in the new Research Park CCS - the child was there for approximately 1 year (2012). The teachers were nice, but it did not appear that they were trained in the school's curriculum. The curriculum is not age appropriate. Conduct research (use reputable academic journals) regarding early childhood education and you will quickly learn that an academic / "skill and drill" environment like CCS is inappropriate for children under age 7. The classrooms are sterile, not engaging, and not toddler/child friendly -- there is little natural light and there are very few toys/books that are within reach of the children. The expectations and discipline are not age appropriate. The Director is not responsive to recommendations. Parent involvement is discouraged.

Both of my children attend CCS and have since they were both babies. I now have a first grader and a 3 year old at CCS. My first grader is writing in cursive proficiently and my 3 year old knows all the vowels, the alphabet and is starting to write! But much more importantly, my children are taught Bible stories, moral values, and are loved by their teachers and staff. My son impresses each of his Sunday School teachers by his knowledge of the Bible that he developed at CCS. Mr. Coriell, the Director, personnally teaches the Bible lessons, art and science. He is much more than just a Director. He loves the children and it shows. I have recommended CCS to many different people and will continue to do so. If you are looking for a structured school (not just a daycare) that teaches your children an advanced Bible-based curriculum as well as important character traits, then CCS is the right choice.

We love this place and our son seems to love it as well! It goes from 6 weeks to 2nd grade. They have a schedule and classroom learning times for all ages. But they do over do it. Our son gets a great balance of play time and learning. He is 3 and is doing awesome with knowing and recognizing his letters. He also knows shapes, colors, numbers and is currently working on letter blends. It's educational excellence without giving up their childhood. They still get to be kids and play.
