We LOVE this school! We have twin 2nd graders here and our experience has exceeded our expectations. The teachers are fabulous, we had Connally & Conton and can't say enough wonderful things about both of them. We transferred here from our 'home' school to this school because we liked the FARM, the focus on Environmental Science and the small student population. Parental feedback is listened to (free summer school for ALL--thank you), the staff is very nice, and the principal (Lori Florigan) seems to care about the students and families. And it has a FARM! The farm is so special and unique. What a rare opportunity for our "beach kids" to get this type of "country" experience. My kids love going here, and they are thriving! I am so thankful for that! Its too bad more families don't consider a school like this, with excellent parent reviews, instead of just going by the rating number on the website.

I love this school! The principal sets the right tone, the teachers are amazing, and it has a farm! I moved to this district so my daughter could go here, and I am so glad I did. They are supportive, make education fun, and include family in regular events. Parental feedback is listened to, the staff are accommodating, and the school is well organized. They find the right balance of innovation and traditional methods for this age group, and the farm is a unique and precious opportunity for kids to get practical experience and environmental education. My daughter loves going here, and I am so thankful for that!

My daughter and son went/go to this school. They school is really amazing and engaging. It is an environmental science school which is one of the things that we love about it. My children learned about the environment, growing vegetables/ fruits and also how to care for animals. My daughter loves the principal Mrs. Florigan. Mrs. Florigan is very sweet and she knows every students name which is a tough thing to remember but she takes the time to learn. We have been in other school districts before but none of them have compared to OVSD. The type of education my children have and are receiving here compares to private education.

I absolutely love golden view and wish I had found them sooner for my son !Yes they are a smaller school but the layout of the school and entire dynamic is so much better .All the classes are somewhat connected and they treat each other somewhat like a big family .All kids are loved and treated well.My son came from Harbor view where he had been since pre k to 3rd grade and was still at the kindergarten level academically. After the pandemic and a move which put us in the golden view perimeter he is now about to move on to middle school and is almost at 5th grade level within a year !They also have a farm and bird area where they teach them things like farming vegetables, recycling, composting caring for the animals and different life skills you can't get anywhere else around the city now days. They provide them their own job on the farm which gives the kids a sense of responsibility and ownership.I just can't express to anyone enough how special golden view is and what it has done for my son will be forever appreciated and cherished .If you have the opportunity to send your child here take it as you will not regret it .

My children have attended this school for the past 3 years I have a 1st grader and a 5th grader. They Love this school so much, my youngest one never felt lonely since he had his older brother around a lot, the older kids would go to the kindergarteners and read to them, This school feels like a huge family. My boys are very well known around by "the Boys" the office staff is always friendly and helpful. Principal is amazing she is on top of everything and any situation brought up to her. I can't put in words how Great and amazing this school has been with us especially when we moved the kiddos in the middle of the school year.

I am so glad that we discovered Golden View Elementary School and the Ocean View School District. We love the farm and amazing staff and teachers. It's amazing that the kids get to work with farm animals and have learning time out of the classroom.

I live the smaller feel of this school! My kid gets way more individualized attention from all the staff at Golden View. It a hidden gem in HB! The farm and environmental science focus help my child to be passionate about caring for animals and he’s learning how to friendly to our planet. This school is wonderful!

Goldenview Elementary is a superb place for our child to grow. The principal is incredibly supportive of students and families. Their Environmental Science focus allows our child experiences caring for animals and plants, learning about the environment, and learning how the environment supports social/emotional needs. The school values a home/school connection.

I absolutely love Golden View Elementary! They have a farm and garden where they teach environmental science. The students have the chance to be hands on with the animals and work hard to maintain their fruits and vegetables in the garden. They love volunteers so parents can sign up to help during school and even in the summer which is so much fun! The teachers also work very hard in the classroom to ensure the kiddos are performing at grade level and above. The communication is great and I can’t say enough about this amazing school! Awesome work!

I cannot express enough how amazing this school is. With it's open floor plan and focus on Environmental Science, it may seem a little different than the typical elementary school - WHICH IS WHY IT IS SO EXCEPTIONAL!My son started attending this school at the beginning of his 4th grade year and after a few weeks I was really sad that I did not enroll him there sooner. We lived in the school boundaries, but decided to transfer him to a different elementary school due to a family member working there. When we made the switch, I didn't know how happy I could be with an elementary school. My son has grown tremendously since enrolling at Golden View and his whole attitude about school has changed drastically. He is happy, has made friends, has taken an interest in caring for animals, and even wanted to start learning how to cook while using vegetables from our little garden that he begged me to help him start at home - just like at Golden View. My son is off to middle school next year and I am excited, but I am also so sad to be leaving such a great school. I highly recommend enrolling your student into Golden View Elementary.

Golden View has been an incredible school for both of my kids. They are highly academic and the teachers have pushed them to achieve at the highest level. The way that the school has incorporated the farm and garden into learning has been incredible. The connection was made intentionally and creates a depth of understanding of complex issues for students. In addition, this environmental science space has created leadership opportunities for my children. The teachers are amazing and the experience was the best for our family. We love Golden View!

Golden view has one of the best science environmental program in the school district. The one only school that has their own farm, my kid really having fun everyday and she love it to the moon and back, really appreciate that to the school management and teachers and everyone who has a hand in that.

My experience in Golden view is a wonderful experience my kids love it here we transferred from a different school because they were scared to go to the one they had to go and now that they’re here they love it. They love their teachers and I can see the effort and input. The teachers give my kids and their growth that they have achieved. And the staff has made us feel welcomed since the first day we started school, and they love the farm too!

Golden view has one of the best science environmental program in the school district. The one only school that has their own farm. The students here have a farm day to go and care for the animals. The have an after school program that is free for all parents. Which I find it very convenient for me because I have a job from 9-5pm and I’m not able to pick up my child on dismissal time. He gets to stay after school and he gets help on his homework and he gets to learn about science and Spanish as well. Which I find it awesome for the staff to teach our children this. My oldest child assisted this school and started T-K which is another awesome thing that golden view offers. Our children get to learn sooner than later on when they get to kinder. This will help our kids be a little advanced in their learning. If your looking for a science environmental school Golden view is the school .

He loves the teachers and has made a lot of friends. I l like how they use a reward system to encourage good behavior. I highly recommend Golden View.

The Envorinmental Science Program at Golden View is engaging and the hands-on learning is valuable to the future of our planet. Students learn respect and responsibilty through interacting with animals and plants on campus, an experience seldom seen today. We are proud of the "farm" as a community, and work together to take care of it. Golden View is an excellent school.
