Terrible! Do not send your kids to this school or work at this school until they hire new administrators. The kids deserve better!! Wake up HISD. There is a huge teacher turn around every year!!

Gave it 3 stars because the teachers are amazing and go through hoops for our children but someone really needs to hire a new principal who cares about the school and the children!

Its sad to see this schools lose some amazing teachers year after year. The principal Ms. Maria Isabel Palacios is the most military strict individual with her staff and the fakest individual with the kids and parents. She is never involved and always seems to be missing unless their is some type of parent presentation. They push sells on the students by selling nachos every other week. and NO student ever benefits from these sells. I have seen year after year teachers leaving. 90% of teachers are new graduates with no experience. Not to mention they DEMAND every student to attend school whether your child is burning up in fever or throwing up! If not expect a knock on your door from the nurse or the school secretary. Or expect to sit in the office with your sick child in hand and ready to sign in and out your child. I just quit trying to make a difference or complain because the minute you call the district your child will be red flagged!

This school loses teachers each year because of how the principal treats them. They go and look for jobs at better schools. Especially in younger grades. Your child will do well on TAKS because TAKS and attendance are all the principal cares about. The teachers are hard working (I think there scared of the principal) but there's always a chance your child might get a brand new teacher who is just starting out because it is hard to retain good teachers who will put up with the principal.
