Saint Joseph School is small so each child receives a lot of attention and support from not only the classroom teacher but the entire staff. There is a real sense of family throughout the building. Students care about each other and work hard together. Every classroom has smartboards and students attend class in the computer lab several times a week. The school offers before and after school care which is nurturing and helps students relax after school along with completing homework. I am confident Saint Joseph School is the best choice for our family.

I have been very pleased with St. Joseph. The communication has been great, and I actually do feel that the staff really care about the children. The teachers have done a great job of communicating with my about my child's progress, and even small daily interactions. I feel like I have a good concept of what's happening in the class, which is different from my prior experiences, and has been great for more consistency between what he does at home and school.

Not an environment that is nurturing or sensitive to the needs of its majority African American student body. I removed my child to prevent any further emotional damage. Not a good choice for those who need progressive ideas or who encourage independent thinking from our children.

My son has been part of the St. Joseph School community for the past 8 years. It has truly been a wonderful experience so far for both of us. Not only do we enjoy the family atmosphere, but the teachers are outstanding, and the academic offerings are excellent. I feel that he is being well prepared for high school and beyond. St. Joseph School is on the rise with its new technology program, new science lab, and the new Promethean interactive white boards. I can't wait to see what next year brings!

I am a 2009 - 2010 graduate. The school is very small but the staff are like your parents. Its a very hands on learning atmosphere with the menial # of students attending. My graduating class only had 19 students. I am now at Mount Carmel high school and am taking all honors classes. I live in country club hills and to be honest, my school district sucks. I am so lucky to have gone to this wonderful school. Everyone in my graduating class is like my brother or sister. If you live in Southern cook county I would highly recommend enrolling your child in this school. It may be a bit expensive, but it will pay large dividends for you and your children in the future
