Dr. Spreitzer was the BEST principal I've encountered. She genuinely cared about her students. All the staff was great and my son, who attended K-5th, loved most of his teachers!

Special need children are treated as if they will never amount to anything. They removed PTP from the school with SPED because the SPED Director doesnt expect any SPED kids will progress enough to move up to the room between SPED & Gen Ed. These kids are not taught well and are many grades behind, even before the Pandemic. Families have moved from the area because their SPED kids are treated like money makers, not lifelong learners

Kathleen Spreitzer is the worst principal I have ever encountered. She discriminates men and speaks to fathers like they are garbage. We have a recording of it. As a professional and a principal she was way out of line and deserves to be fired. I was considering moving to hometown and enrolling my daughter because I heard nothing but great things regarding the teachers and the education children get in this school and district but after hearing the way their principal speaks to parents and forces parents to do what she wants regarding their children, you couldn’t pay me to now put my child in that environment. She doesn’t follow state laws regarding procedures with children and their education and the steps that need to be taken legally for specific classes. She tells you that you have no choice. She will threaten to call Dcfs on you if you refuse to do what she says and she tells them you aren’t looking out for their best interest as a parent (she did this to a friend of mine). I’m sorry but if I choose to put my child with a tutor or work with my child on my own to help develop them that is my right as a parent instead of putting them in special needs classes when they don’t need it. Every child is behind this past year due to the pandemic it’s not the kids fault. It has been a struggle for all children across the United States this past year. I would never recommend this school to anyone because of the principal. To anyone that has your child in this school do your child a favor and remove them and move somewhere else. Run and run fast and far!!!!!!!

The teachers really care about the students , along with the Principal. I love how the Principal greets the students by name, as they are coming in for class in the mornings!
