There is way too much testing going on at this school. When a stack of tests from the year reaches over two feet, something is wrong. This doesn't even include the testing that happens on the computers. Many students spend 75 minutes per day on I-Ready.

Our students were just featured in this year's 2014-2015 Red Ribbon National Family Partnership photo contest! Additionally, this week our third grade students will participate in an annual "Make and Bake" pumpkin pie activity, enjoy a special Harvest Feast Luncheon, and take a virtual field trip to Plymouth, MA to learn more about history! This is an exciting school which promotes educational practices that make learning inviting to all children!

I am a parent at Avocado Elementary my daughter is in Kindergarten . I am very happy with the education at the school. I did tremendous research on choosing the right school. I thought charter schools were better and took her out of a charter school. Charter schools do not have the funding and selection of courses that Avocado offers. Charter schools have no bathrooms in the classrooms . Therefore , your child would walk with another child to the bathroom . That's crazy. Parents who took their kids out of Avocado , I would think again and put them back in Avocado. The security, teachers, new administration , new playground , new courses, etc is outstanding . Avocado has plans to remodel school. Homes over $450,000 are being built attracting a more desirable neighborhood. I am so happy and my daughter loves her school and teacher. A proud parent from Avocado.

I have nothing good to say about this school. They are extremely unorganized when it comes to school work. My child entered the school 6 weeks late due to a move. The teachers per class are too many and they didn't explain what or how work was to be completed so my child and I became lost regarding how to do things there. Not to mention the attitude we got from these uncooperative uninformative teachers and staff. I can't wait to relocate back out of this state.

This school is pretty amazing. My daughter was a third grader new to the school, and she was really struggling with reading last year. She received additional help from Ms. Forsman in a reading intervention class and her reading really improved. My daughter just loved her. Thanks to her teacher Mrs.Pamphile and with help from Ms. Forsman she passed to the fourth grade. I am so grateful for all they did for my daughter. This year she is more confident and a much happier student.

This school Rocks! It is Awesome. The teachers are friendly and the administration (Mrs. Coffey and Ms. Bourland) are Fabulous. There are many activities for the children to participate in. Classes are available for parents througout the week in addition to tutoring for kids. The campus is warm and inviting. Student intervention and success is a definately a priority. All staff members are caring and go above and beyond regular duties. Avocado is Awesome and the best school in the area.
